“5 stars and then some- the food is absolutely delicious and this is one of the few places I feel safe eating on the island. I have a severe shellfish allergy- including having issues with cross contamination. Better is able to accommodate for my allergy and is always quick to answer any questions I have about which foods are safe for me, packs my meal separately from any shellfish, etc. I highly recommend trying them- you won’t be disappointed!!!“

“We spent the weekend in Chincoteague for our 65th anniversary. On Saturday we ate lunch and dinner at Bill's. My husband had oysters for lunch and flounder for dinner and was pleased with both selections. I had shrimp for lunch and the fried seafood platter for dinner. They shrimp for both meals were very small and did not have a lot of taste. The clam chowder that was included with my dinner was delicious. The rest of the seafood was average. For sides we had the Granny Smith apple cold slaw and red mashed potatoes with cheddar and hamhocks. Both were absolutely scrumptious. Our cocktails were great, as was the service! We made reservations for dinner. The restaurant filled up quickly but there seemed to be adequate staff. All the staff we encountered were very friendly. We would go back again.“

“This place is now a must go-to every year we come down. I’m only sad that for so many years we never tried it. It is by far our favorite and worth every dollar and ever bite!“

“We got there before the dining room opened (opens at 4:00), so we ate at the bar, which I didn't really want to do, but we ended up having so much fun! The place filled up within 15 minutes of getting there, and we struck up conversations with so many people in the bar. It's definitely a local hang out, so you can get great tips of places to go/do/see in the area. They also have some great local beers and cocktails, and the food was delicious. The bar tenders were all very friendly and love to chat. I would highly recommend Steamers!“

“Good food in the middle of the tourist area. Good breakfast. There is a breakfast buffet with a lot of selections. But I prefer to order off the menu. Full breakfast with eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast, & coffee was $12 before tip on a Wed. Service was good. Not as fancy as Bill’s but a good low cost alternative. I eat breakfast there whenever I am in town and they are open (seasonal).“

“My family and I grab takeout from Ocean Deli often and we’re always satisfied. Husband grabbed lunch for us today and there was an issue with my order. He called and let them know and they fixed the problem with an upgrade for the inconvenience. Great food with great customer service!“

“We have been to Ray's many times over the years & it has always been a nice experience. Tonight was the WORST service we have ever had. On top of that, the stuffed shrimp was overcooked & only 4 shrimp for $35. For the amount of $ spent, it was highly disappointing all-around.“

“Our first time to Chincoteague and camping at Yogi. My husband was told we had to try Capt Zach’s well let’s just say we were not disappointed one bit. The freshest seafood I have had in along time. Our Waitress Valerie was very nice and attentive. If you go just know to go early. You will have a slight wait but you won’t be disappointed for sure. 10/10 will be back and it will be worth the 2 hr drive.“

“Went to Chincoteague for the day. \nRopewalk had great food and we went there off season so it was half priced entrees on Sunday!!! Wonderful server. My child received wax sting to build a shape or ornament and both kiddos were given a rope walk beach sticker. \n\nThe chicken Chesapeake was our favorite. Filet mignon was tasty as well as the stuffed flounder. And the scallops were large and flavorful. The green beans were amazing too!\n\nThey have outdoor seating for warmer weather and a playground.\n\nPhoto of food is stuffed flounder.“

“The best pizza in town, in my opinion. Service is fast and the staff are friendly. I like that you can order online and then go pick it up. We often order as we're leaving the beach and it's ready when we get to town. We've also had the pasta and it was very good. My personal favorite there is the Famous Pizza, it's basically a supreme, and they don't skimp on the toppings. It's also excellent to eat cold the next day, makes a great breakfast.“
