Best sandwiches this side of the Mississippi. No but seriously, best sandwiches by far in the area and within at least 100 miles. First, restaurant is always spotless, staff is friendly and accommodating, owner is super friendly and wants the best product for the customer truly and you don't find that often, excellent selection of sandwiches and ingredients are high quality. Keep up the good work and you should definitely try the iltalian and the farmhouse chicken sandwiches, my favorites. Highly recommended.Parking: During lunch street parking fills up and they get busy. Suggest call in order so no waiting.

In Clifton forge for a safety inspection and stumbled on to this place. Wonderful environment very clean and the staff was on point. I got the clam chowder and turkey sandwich and my husband got the pastrami sandwich, the meal is priced reasonable and considering you get a drink with it and chips makes it a good deal. We also had an amazing cheesecake with chocolate crust and chocolate cheese topping!My meal was delicious and so was my husband's. Good job and God bless you guys.

Stopped in while we were walking around town. Very glad that we did. Super nice folks and we really enjoyed our sandwiches. It's a pretty big space, and it seems to be pretty popular at lunch time. Place filled up soon after we arrived. Counter service but they brought our food to the table. And the owner came out to check on folks. We will be back again.
Excellent deli. Stopped for lunch when we were camping at Douthat. The sandwiches were very well made and generously sized. Had the turkey club and tuna salad. Also some macaroni salad. All very good. Super friendly staff. Very clean. Highly recommended.

What an absolute GEM is 42Deli! The food is delicious, and a good value. I am very impressed by how spotless this place is, front to back, top to bottom. The staff is so pleasant and friendly, and we enjoyed the local regulars greeting each other and enjoying meals together. Do yourself a favor: skip the fast food places and have a great meal here - it’s “fast enough” food, and tastes much better! Happy 7th Birthday to 42Deli - we’ll be back!
