This place would rank as an excellent coffee shop anywhere. The store was open and bright with plenty of seating. The baristas made a proper cortado. It had an extensive collection of biscotti. We enjoyed our visit.
So happy that we stumbled across this wonderful coffee experience while driving I-64 from Lexington VA to Charleston WV. Looking for coffee, the Caffe Museo popped up on my Apple Maps so we drove into downtown Clifton Forge and found on-street parking. When you enter the space, you will be amazed by the coffee grinders...the number, the various sizes and colors...dating back several centuries! Certainly a museum-quality collection!! This coffee shop is incredible! The decor is antique coffee grinders from late 1800s to early 1900s. A great look back in time to the manufactures of these grinders. The owner's hosted a reception for the ACME (Association of Coffee Mill Enthusiasts) Club. We all had a great time looking at the owner's collection of mills and enjoying the variety of food and drinks put together by the staff. Great map on the wall to mark your home state too.
