The atmosphere was perfect for a Saturday, live music and baseball playing. Food was great. Management hit it out of the park once they hear Jack Mason was in the building. Great service by the whole wait staff. We would be back next time we head through Virginia.
I ordered the pub steak. The meal was absolutely flavorless. I've never experienced a steak that had the consistency of a sponge and the flavor of cardboard. The potatoes were lukewarm and had a very mush consistency to them as well. Not to mention you burnt my broccoli. That's insane I don't see with all the hype's about. Service is fantastic though. Maybe find new kitchen staff
Great place for good food and exceptional service.
Very average food and service. beer is good
Tried calling for an hour no one ever picked up
We spent time in the area checking out local breweries. Jack Mason was a pleasant surprise. Their own beer was brewed so well. We did several flights and brought home a few Crowlers. The food was really really really tasty. We had the Mahi-mahi, Fish and Chips, a BBQ Burger and Reuben Burger. The staff was awesome and our pups enjoyed the outside venue.
My wife and I decided to go here on Easter Sunday to enjoy a nice meal together that we were unable to accomplish due to bad customer service....we were seated in a disclosed area considered a window by employees at this establishment...mind you it was not a window to look out of. We then ordered 20 mins. Later only because that's how long it took to get waited on. After ordering we then decided to leave bc we were informed by a rude employee that our meals were not ready and wouldn't be for another 15 to 20 mins. I highly recommend Cheese n more in Gap Mills WV. I promise the service is much better.
Road up to Clifton forge to get some jack masons....was very disappointed! First off, ordered coffee, was brought old coffee. Then ordered one of my favorites, with sweet potato fries( one reason I go there is for their sweet potato fries with the raspberry dip) ...fries were awful, limp! Waitress brought more, they were better, but not as good as usual! I've always referred people there, but will not anymore. Im on lookout for new restaurant to frequent in the area?
We came here looking for good pub food while traveling through. The place is spacious, clean, and creatively decorated with license plates. Our server was attentive and friendly. The menu is large with lots of options. Our food had great flavor, but the meat was dry. It took quite a while to come out. We would come back again and just request that our meat be less done.
I love the beer and I love the PB and Strawberry Jam Tavern Burger. This was a neat place to visit while in Clifton Forge. It's the main reason a made trip there in fact. The atmosphere is laid back and the street view is cool too. The beers I had were the Kolsh and one of their Porters. I beleive it was a Bourbon Barrel Aged Porter. They even had a new Porter/Stout mix that tasted great as well. The burger was phenomenal. It was a good ol' burger with Peanut Butter, Strawberry Jam, Bacon, and Cheddar I think. There might have been some other things on it, but it was bang for my buck. It is also one of the main reasons I would go back to Jack Mason's Tavern.
Parking: You could either park outside the tavern if there are spaces available. If not, you can park in the alley between the Tavern and the Elk's Lodge.

Wife and I took a trip to try JMT which had been featured on WBDJ7 Hometown eats. It is a beautiful drive up and this place is fantastic. Good beer and great food selection. I got the reuben with onion rings and wife got the pub steak which she said melted in her mouth. Believe me she is picky and this is the first place she didn't leave a bite on her plate. We will be making the hour drive again, this place is worth it !!!!!!!!!

I paid $14 for a Southwest chicken salad that barely had any chicken in it.. I literally NEVER buy food from restaurants but I decided to get food with my son and this is what I got.. it's absolutely ridiculous to charge someone $14+tax for a salad that doesn't even have even a half of a chicken breast in it..if I could get my money back, I would.

Nothing short of nada. Jack Mason's is bar none one of the friendliest pubs this side of the Allegheny. I plotted a trip to Clifton Forge just to visit this charming place and Jack's did not disappoint. The bar is cheery while the segmented lounge affords a bit of privacy. Well appointed and eclectic decorating reminds you you're home. A scrumptious menu and great spirits reminds you why you're staying.
Thank you for taking great care of us, hoping others will find this bright spot and fall in love the same as myself.
