After my husband's dental appointment in Clifton Forge this morning we drove around town looking for a place to eat lunch. We found a GREAT PLACE, called "THE CLUB CAR SHOP & DELI."

Beautiful cafe nestled in the heart of such a historic town. The staff was friendly during our private catered event, and the food was amazing (especially the mashed potatoes). Very well done. Professional and courteous. I also enjoy a place with odds and ends to peak my interest, and this place had them. Highly recommended.

I thoroughly enjoyed my cashew chicken salad. It had perfectly steamed broccoli and diced chicken and cashews with a lovely poppy seed dressing. The service was excellent and it was a true pleasure to dine here. Thank you!!

While you can get regular lunch items, this wonderful little gem offers several different options. I had the Chipotle chicken chunks in a spinach wrap. Excellent! Their bread pudding was delish! Wonderful staff. Glad, glad, glad we stopped here for lunch!
We had the freshest turkey & havarti sandwich on marble rye. Really delicious as was the bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup. Our server was Candace who had only been on the job for a few days and she was friendly, efficient and welcoming. She even brewed us a new pot of coffee when I asked if the coffee was really fresh. We bought some of the homemade cookies to take with us. All very good but very very sweet. The place was spotless. Next time we are traveling in the area we will definitely stop in.

If you want the warmest welcome and friendliest servers in the mid-Atlantic, this is your place. And the food is amazing. Their Reuben sandwich is the best I’ve ever had. We visited from out of town and came back for more the next day. Chicken sandwich is delicious as is the hamburger. Yum!!!!
