Toasted ravioli was the best part. Ordered a large Parmesan Meatball sub and it was just sad. Big huge sub roll with 3 half meatballs in each half. Hardly any marinara sauce in it either. Just sad. Definitely won't be ordering that again. Pretty sure the meatballs were frozen factory made also. Such a shame for an Italian restaurant. Their pizzas are good though and so is their lasagna.
Large pizza - bottom was TOUGH! Like tooth breaking tough with a very hard thin base. Toppings were very good, however. We stop for food here everytime I come to visit family. Brought to servers attention at the table and again when paying at counter. No offer was made to remake or discount. Was told "next time ask for a softer cook"...Ok then, I will consult my crystal ball next time to know how the pizza dough will be prepped...that's the most rediculous statement...
Carini's is a great Italian restaurant. They have everything from spaghetti to manicotti to lasagna and more. They definitely give you more than enough to. The staff is very friendly and the place is very clean. It is located on the Boulevard in Colonial Heights. This was my first time here and it was delicious. I would recommend Carini's Italian restaurant.
