First time there and I ordered the chicken empanadas and alcapurrias. The alcapurrias are very salty the masa is being prepped with wayyy too much salt. The empanadas were still frozen in the middle. The chicken mofongo was ok it was too pricey for the size. I give this place an ok. I’m a Dominican born and raised in NYC and appreciate this place for almost being a cuchifrito spot. IYKYK ☺️?
Food is generally really good and definitely reminds me of home. Some downsides are it usually takes a long while for food to be served, and the last time I went the pernil was really salty. I like extra salt on my food, but this was SO salty I couldn’t finish it. Those are my only complaints though because the service is good, and like I mentioned the food is generally spot on ?✨ I recommend the mofongo with chicharrones de pollo, and you can never go wrong with the beef...
I had to wait too but the wait was definitely worth it. They do not cook in microwaves so you have to wait while they prepare the food at the moment. The reheated food thing is not true and I can attest to that. What a shame there are people who, instead of building, want to destroy the reputation of...
