Great place for peach picking very friendly
Good ice cream also
A nice farm store. The peach cider is very good as is the peach ice-cream.
Plenty of delicious blueberries, blackberries, and peaches to pick. You pay by the container and can fill it to the brim. There were also colorful zinnia flowers to pick. My kids had fun but consider hats/sunbrellas for shade as it felt very hot in the direct sun. There are some lunch, dessert and beverage options but the menu is pretty limited if you are looking for a substantial meal.
We went to pick blueberries. $15 for about half a gallon. It was hot and I recommend sunscreen and mosquito repellent. We would go back again.
The best!
Amazing experience picking fruits. Very good activity in summer.
Ive been picking fruit for decades, and this place was fantastic! Biggest blackberries ive ever seen, best peaches ive ever eaten. Got a lemonade- peach cider mixed slushy and it was fabulous!
Great little orchard. It always saddens me to see how many peaches are left on the ground from people being disrespectful. But what a beautiful place! We go every year.
We got apple cider donuts from Chiles for our wedding and they were amazing! We were able to call ahead and place the order, and they were warm and ready for us when we got there. They always have the best apple cider donuts.
Great wine great ice cream great atmosphere.

We had a great experience. The wine has been a hit as well.
October is the perfect time of the year for this visit. Get the Apple Cider Donuts! There is only wine and no beer. Very good flights of wine. The views are gorgeous. Very polite staff.
Chiles is part of the same Charlottesville family as Carter. They own every apple in the area and aren’t going anywhere unless they sell or die. Maybe not even then. The gift shop has the same problems as Carter Mountain in being an import-only operation. The huge bump in my experience here is that you can actually go out into the hell of pasture for seasonal vegetables such as strawberries and pumpkins. Reader beware, It’ll cost you more to pick your own on this jaunt in comparison to going to Walmart or aldi (the squirrels don’t care, they’ll still eat it off of your front steps), but it’s a step above from the Carter mountain racket because of its low traffic.
Lots of apples to choose from.
Used to be a great place to take family, but service has declined. If you pick your own pumpkin, you’re charged $9 for each person in your party and for the pumpkin.
