Tucked away on the corner of a small strip mall in Crozet, Mudhouse consistently makes the finest pourover coffee I've ever had. The beans are locally sourced, single origin and freshly roasted. The staff is young, enthusiastic and passionate about coffee. It's set in a refurbished historic space but has ample seating and plenty of outlets for your phone and computer. Drop in for an exquisite cup of coffee or hang out for the afternoon. We'll worth a visit.
I spent the better part of Labor Day Monday morning meeting with one friend at 9:00 a.m. and then another at 10:30. I started off with a drip coffee which was perfectly fine and an espresso that was delightfully pulled by be talkative and charming barista. I'm typically easy to please when it comes to breakfast items but I do appreciate a well-prepared pastry. The lemon bar I had that morning was exquisite.
