I love you and your food Fardowners - sorry I got impatient last night. Just a request - if the food is coming out slow (waiting for more than 20 minutes) it would make me so happy if your waitstaff would just give us a "hey it's taking a little longer tonight - food should be out in 10 more - how about some more water or drinks". Thank you - will keep coming back - just won't do it on a night when I have only an hour.

I've been searching for a brunch place that took food seriously since Brooklyn Star (RIP) closed. Finally, here it is. A previous review referenced the steak and eggs as some of the best steak they'd ever tasted. I had to challenge that overstatement, but I've failed. It was absolutely one of the best cuts, alongside over easy eggs that apparently shared a well-seasoned griddle. Great great GREAT Place, from WC (the owner ?) on down to the cooks (real professionals) the wait staff, the bartenders and the dishwasher (hey Charlie!). Truly great atmosphere, awesome wait staff. Sunday brunch is worth the wait, I was waiting for takeout last Sunday and people were happy to wait 20-30 mins for a table, lots to do on The Square in Crozet….I’d give FD’s 10 stars on a 5 star scale.
