I have eaten at this restaurant since highschool. So about 30 years! Recently we go about once a week for pizza or a sub. The service is always amazing. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming. Sals has the best pizza and subs in the Charlottesville area, it truly is a hidden gem. I love they have kept the ownership in the family so you always know the recipes are still the same and you always have the same hometown feel. Very nostalgic ! Always an excellent meal and friendly staff! Sometimes there is a longer wait for dine in or takeout but with such a small place and a high volume of customers-- that's to be expected. Worth the wait!!
Our favorite local pizza and Italian restaurant. We go all the time. It's a small town, family owned place, nothing too fancy. The food is outstanding. If it's busy, the wait times for table service and takeout can get lengthy. If you're not in a hurry, I highly recommend.
