The food was really good. I had the pulled pork and fried chicken platter. Both were well cooked. The Mac & cheese and baked beans were also really good. The only complaint was there online ordering from tableside. It was a bit cumbersome and we ended up going in to order.
So, before I start. Know this, I am a born and raised Texan and have competed in and judged brisket competitions. So, I am extremely picky. I had the sliced brisket. It was tender but very little smoke flavor. It’s advertised as Texas style. In that aspect it would not meet standards. However, way better than just about any other place I’ve tried out here in VA. They are known for their barbecue, which is delicious, but I’m here to talk about the burger. I have no problem claiming that they have the best cheeseburger in Albemarle county. Crispy yet juicy patties, American cheese, perfect beef to bun ratio, excellent house made pickles and a cool, creamy burger sauce to round it out.
