“A chance meeting with an awesome local named "Stew" in a nearby gas station while looking for a place to stay brought us to Wicked Chicken and their attached Airbnb "A Hens Loft". What a great find for the best wings ever and a nice place to spend the night after a long days ride. The GM Tamra gave us a tour of the rooms and we settled in to a delicious meal in a casual outdoor setting. Service was outstanding and the wings - awesome! They close early but we were allowed to hangout at the tables outside to enjoy the evening with new friends. The entire town is full of friendly people and the Wicked Chicken and A Hen's Loft are a must visit when coming to Damascus.“
“We stayed at the Damascus Old Mill Inn during our last visit to the area. We were very impressed with the room and the Inn in general. Very comfortable and relaxing, and right along the creek. The food was delicious as well. We didn’t feel like we were staying in a generic, overly commercialized hotel chain, and that’s what made it great. The room was spacious, quiet, clean, and had a great view along the balcony. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay with amenities in the area, the Damascus Inn won’t disappoint.“
“This is a small brewery in Damascus Virginia that had a decent selection of beers. When we were there they had eight brews on tap. They have a pretty good mix and really the only thing missing was a stout. We did 2 flights of 4 so we tried everything and my favorite was a New England IPA. This is a small place and no kitchen so bring your own munchies (I assume, but check). Finally they have good indoor and outdoor seating.“
