I stopped by on a Sunday for a plate which is definitely a busy day. I decided to get fried chicken, it was good but im definitely getting the fried pork chops next time. Someone behind me got them and they looked great. The sweet tea was good and sweet but not overly sweet. Honestly the best tea in town ever since they renovated LJS. The collard greens are fresh, very tender and flavorful. I also got the mac and cheese and yams, both were good as well but keep in mind the yams...
Service was great. Portions are phenomenal. Food is great! Home cooked great taste. They not shy with the seasonings! We went back the next to get a to go box. If you visit Danville this is a must try. Soul food satisfaction.
Good home cooked food. Very welcoming. Smiling faces is a plus. Will tell others. I got the baked chicken seasoned to perfection/moist with mashed potatoes with gravy and turnip greens. Felt like I was at my grandmas house. Blessings to this place.
