This is nice small restaurant within walking distance of the Caesars Virginia Casino. Service is generally attentive and welcoming. The wine list is limited. We recommend the lamb chops and they had a fabulous chocolate torte that we would also describe as a flourless chocolate cake for the chocoholics. If returning to Danville, we would return to this restaurant. Not including the wine and Virginia taxes, we spent about $40 per person for a very good meal.
Fantastic little spot across the street for the casino. Great history in this location. Fried oysters are exceptional. Meatballs are delicious. Staff is friendly and it’s as cleanliness is obviously important to them. On the weekends I recommend a reservation for peak ours. My ONLY complaint would be the steak is not worth the cost. Need to upgrade that cut. Several other options though. This is better than anything the casino has to offer including Gordon Ramsey restaurant.
This place is darling with very friendly and accommodating service, great food, and friendly locals.
We were in town for a show, had a dinner reservation at a restaurant at the casino, and were prepared for a great night. And we love that particular restaurant at the casino so would have had a great dinner there.
However, we really really love local gems and were so excited when The Schoolfield was recommended to us.
All was confirmed the moment we walked...
