This was a fabulous find. Being the Southern inspired menu, we opted for the fried green tomato appetizer, panko breaded deviled eggs were an unexpected and unusual offering that was phenomenally delicious. We also enjoyed their cajun pasta to round out the meal. We had courteous service from staff that were friendly, responsive and informative and efficient and fun. Very reasonable priced for quality and quantity of food. Highly recommend.
We started with their Fried Green Tomatoes which were awesome! The tomatoes were in a delicious sauce and topped with spinach. Best Fried Green Tomatoes we've ever had. Next, even though it was mid-afternoon, I had their pancakes topped with peaches, strawberries and blueberries. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. My husband had their Fish Sandwich and was not sorry. The service was excellent. We look forward to going back.
We wanted so badly to love this restaurant. The restaurant itself is very clean and we loved the vibe. It was opening weekend at the Barracks Road location in Charlottesville, VA so I hope this review will help them improve and be successful. The portions vs. price point do not correlate. We’ve never left a restaurant hungry after paying $100 for a meal until last night.

The food presentation is appealing and the atmosphere is hip, making it a pleasant place to visit. The menu features dishes like Chicken and Biscuits and French Toast, which are delicious and beautifully presented. The honey biscuit appetizer is flavorful, even if not served hot, and the breaded catfish with cheesy grits is tasty, though the sauce can be a bit diluted. The steak is highly praised, considered the best ever, with Chef Marcus receiving lots of credit. The Carolina Low Country Gumbo is seasoned to perfection, packed full of flavor, and the broth is so tasty. The chicken and Biscoff waffle is an A+, with good breading on the chicken and a Biscoff waffle. The biscoff waffles and the shrimp and grits are delicious, with the cheesey grits reminding some of home cooking. The chicken and biscuits could have had more sauce, but the chicken was moist and perfectly cooked, and the biscuits were fluffy and light. The restaurant is nicely decorated, with plenty of room between tables. However, this place is LOUD, as the acoustics make everything especially loud. The overall experience is warm and inviting, encouraging guests to revisit with friends and enjoy good food and service.
