Best Ghanaian food in/near Northern VA! I'm American but my husband is from Ghana and we both love it. Yes, it's super slow and the customer service is lacking, but the food makes up for it. I only wish they had a location in Fairfax so we didn't have to travel so far!
When I initially visited Safari and had my first interaction with the staff, I wasn't very impressed. Their customer service could definitely use some improvement. The energy level of their employees wasn't pleasant, and it almost made me not want to return. However, the delicious food has brought me back twice, including today. This place is AMAZING. Everyone was super kind. We dined in and spoke with the owner. Beautiful personality and sweet soul. You can taste it in her cooking. They gave us a bowl to wash our hands which I thought was very thoughtful. Will be coming back for the Ghana Cake.
