Located a bit of a drive from DC, this cafe was discovered during a Turkish festival and offers a variety of cake-like desserts that are highly recommended.
The Turkish delight is phenomenal, and guests can purchase an entire box as a gift. The Azerbaijan Plov is a must-try, featuring tender beef and lamb mixed with fragrant rice, caramelized onions, chestnuts, and dried yellow plums—both sweet and savory. The market offers lots of cool groceries unique to Azerbaijan, along with fresh baked goods and pastries. The owner is friendly and welcoming, though the space can feel a little tight and cramped. Despite the unique offerings, prices are reasonable. Definitely worth a visit for both shopping and dining.
