Great food! The best pappardelle I’ve had in the DMV area!

Truly the worst meal I’ve ever had.
Let’s start with the food. We dined during restaurant week and had to choose 3 courses. The appetizers were mediocre and I could’ve had a better salad at Panera. Most of the table ordered gnocchi or salmon pasta. The gnocchi was reminiscent of chef boyardee and there was almost no salmon in the pasta. It also took incredibly long to get our food. We ended up taking the dessert home. The gelato was freezer burnt, the cheesecake tough and rubbery, and the rest were average.
We came to celebrate my 85 year old grandmother who survived Polish communism; however, could barely survive this meal in the cold. There was NO HEAT and the outside temperature was 16 degrees. We all wore coats, scarves and those who brought gloves, wore them. For a $750 meal (we still tipped 20%) it was a joke!!! Never ever waste your money.

One of my absolute favorites and during Restaurant Week, nonetheless! I absolutely love their Carrot Ginger Soup and their Crab Ravioli - the very best. Love the staff and always will love Bellissimo!
A family owned and run with a selection of Northern Italian cuisine. The vibe is friendly and the service is great. This was our third visit and we make it a point to eat here whenever we aren't in Fairfax CA
Went last night. I really liked it. Only got angel hair with a veal sauce, but was excellent and reasonably priced. Service was good, and the bread was outstanding also. Plan to go back. It's tiny also, but nice inside.

Excellent NYE dinner at Bellissimo. Service a bit slow but they appeared to be understaffed for NYE (at least at time of our 6 pm reservation), so no big deal. Food was superb =both my wife an I opted for the stuffed veal chops, Caesar salad, and cheesecake. I opted for a bottler of very good Valpolicelli that went very well with the veal. NYE at Bellissimo has become a tradition for us in resent years and ne we will definitely continue.
Bellissimo is a small cozy restaurant. The mussels were excellent and the entrees and dessert were good . Not amazing but good. When I booked the table for Christmas dinner, the website indicated only the regular menu but when we arrived we were told only the special Christmas menu was available. I cannot eat a three course meal so I had the appetizer, a bite of the entre and most of the dessert and ended up taking the main course of my meal home to be reheated in the microwave. That is not how I envisioned my Christmas dinner. Why do restaurants insist on only multi course and very expensive meals on holidays? The regular menu would have been perfect and I wouldn't have felt I had wasted money and food. If you want to enjoy wine with your meal, I would avoid the house wine.
Belissimo is a Fairfax City gem. Fantastic food and friendly staff. Enjoyed a seafood linguine this evening along with a delicious tiramisu for desert!
Delicious Italian food. Recommend this place and service was exceptional. We were there for a celebration for a baptism.

We were seated in a lovely alcove. Very private. I had the Caesar salad and then the seafood pasta special which were outstanding!! The tiramisu and cappuccino were the sweet capper to the evening. Will definitely be coming back
Bellissimo is always excellent food, service, ambiance. It is classic and timeless. We go for special occasions or anytime we feel like a good comfortable meal.
appetizer salals were good a little too heavy on the salad dressing ravioli ok veal scallopini ok
Incredible Food, Chaotic Service
Belissamo delivers outstanding food — seriously, the dishes were so good I almost applauded the kitchen. Everything was seasoned perfectly and beautifully prepared.
But the service? That’s where things slipped. Our server was clearly overwhelmed and rushing all night. The restaurant was packed, and clearly they were understaffed, which created a chaotic atmosphere 🤷♀️The order was correct, but one of our guests was autistic and needed a bit more explanation. Instead of offering , patience or clarity, the server became annoyed, and more flustered, which made the experience feel tense, awkward and uncoordinated.
With food this good, Belissamo has the potential to be a standout. But better staffing and more compassionate, attentive service would make a huge difference.

We really enjoyed our dinner at the Belissimo restaurant prior to our show at the Art's Center. The food was great as well as the service and ambiance.. I would only add that since we had noted to the hostess/waitress that we were going to the show after dinner, which would qualify us for the 10% discount, would have been nice if she had asked us to show our tickets if that was a prerequisite before bringing our bill and having to void it since it initially did not reflect the 10% discount.
