Bellissimo is always excellent food, service, ambiance. It is classic and timeless. We go for special occasions or anytime we feel like a good comfortable meal.

We really enjoyed our dinner at the Belissimo restaurant prior to our show at the Art's Center. The food was great as well as the service and ambiance.. I would only add that since we had noted to the hostess/waitress that we were going to the show after dinner, which would qualify us for the 10% discount, would have been nice if she had asked us to show our tickets if that was a prerequisite before bringing our bill and having to void it since it initially did not reflect the 10% discount.

The food was delicious and abundant, the prices are very fair and according to the quality of the food. The service was very cordial, attentive and made our meal experience very special.

Bellissimo was hands-down the best choice for our wedding rehearsal dinner. The best Italian food in the entire DMV! Everyone who came to our rehearsal dinner loved it and are still raving about the dishes. Also, the staff and wonderful family that runs the restaurant are so sweet. We really felt taken care of. Thank you for helping making our big day so special.

We have been there before a few years ago and thought is was very good. Not so good last night and will not go again. We were a party of 6 and 3 out of 6 meals were good and 3 were not. Waiter lectured us on how we should order our drinks in the future. Pasta was dry, shrimp like rubber. There was a small wedding group there which generated so much noise- happy for them but we were unable to have any conversation due to the noise. Appeared only 3 people working aside from kitchen staff so we got little attention once food was served. Considering the prices, we expected so much more.

We went on a very crowded night.but still the service by all was excellent and the food was outstanding. Also an excellent range in price and style of wine.

The food was quite good and the price was reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. They appeared to be short-staffed when we were there, but otherwise, a very good experience.

Restaurant week happened to coincide with our dinner plan. We received an excellent dining evening from the service to the high quality of the meal to the excellent value. The lamb shank was delicious and plentiful as was the spinach ravioli with crab. Special kudos go to the waitress who serviced multiple tables.

We tried several of the Restaurant Week opportunities around Fairfax, and Bellissimo was the best. Wonderful food, portions, ambiance, taste, service... everything was perfect!

Always pleasant to have our anniversary here! There were others enjoying a small private birthday gathering as well as another wedding anniversary. We all received a nice dessert from the business to celebrate!

Lovely and quaint gem of a place. You can tell immediately this is the best kind of “mom & pop” family run restaurant. The food was scrumptious. I had a special, “veal sophia” while mrs had a lovely pasta dish. Inexpensive for white tablecloth ambience food and service.

I had high hopes for this place, especially since it's chef-owned, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet expectations. The food was okay—not terrible, but not impressive either. I might have considered giving it another try, but from the moment we walked in, the woman who greeted us (dark hair) made us feel unwelcome. She was rude, and when my fiancé asked where he could park, she simply said, “No idea,” with no effort to be helpful. I understand if there’s a language barrier, but kindness and a welcoming attitude don’t require perfect English. A smile and basic courtesy go a long way, and unfortunately, that was completely missing here, and make the atmosphere dense. For that reason alone, we won’t be returning.

A Truly Unforgettable Dining Experience at Bellissimo Restaurant From the moment we walked into Bellissimo Restaurant in Fairfax, we knew we were in for something special. Every aspect of our experience — from the food to the service — was absolutely incredible. We started with the mussels and burrata appetizers, and both were bursting with flavor. The mussels were perfectly cooked in a savory broth that we couldn't stop dipping our bread into, while the burrata was fresh, creamy, and paired beautifully with its accompaniments. For the main course, we were blown away by the seafood pasta and the angel hair pasta — each dish prepared with such finesse and attention to detail. The seafood was fresh, tender, and plentiful, nestled in a perfectly balanced sauce. The angel hair was delicate and flavorful, cooked to perfection. We also tried two of the veal dishes, and they were melt-in-your-mouth delicious — rich, comforting, and expertly seasoned. All paired perfectly with a bottle of Prossecco and 2 bottles of Red Wine-Primitivo. What truly elevated the entire experience was the impeccable service. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They made us feel welcome and cared for throughout the meal. Bellissimo is more than just a restaurant — it's an experience. Whether you're celebrating something special or just craving an exceptional Italian meal, this place is a must-visit. We can't wait to return!
