I've had the Limoncello Cannoli, Cookie Box, and Tiramisu (life changing, order it). Every single thing from here has been consistently amazing. Pickup is so easy--love this bakeshop so much and will definitely be ordering again <3 You can tell things are made with care!

Stop looking for a quality Italian bakery in the DMV because you've found it! Nicole has done this area a much needed service by bringing the area a tier of Italian baked goods, usually reserved for small shops in New York and New Jersey. Nicole is a complete boss, running this small business with her family after moving from New Jersey. After trying her Italian cookies and cannolis, my wife and I new that we had to use Bisnonna for our wedding. Nicole is incredibly personable and professional and worked with us to come up with a menu that suited our exact needs. Her shop can tailor your order to your exact requirements: amount, flavors, delivery, set up, etc. During and after our wedding, our guests were absolutely raving about her cannolis. The shop keeps the staple flavors stocked, and also offers seasonal specialties. Whether you're looking to cater a large event, or want to bring something amazing over to a friends house, Bisnonna will have exactly what you're looking for and will have you coming back again and again.

Ever since moving to NOVA, I've been on the hunt for a great Italian bakery and am so happy to have found Bisnonna Bakeshop!! I ordered the "We're Butter Together Box" and had it delivered. It was super quick to ship. My favorites were the Italian Butter Cookies and Rainbow Cookies, and I've already ordered again to share with visitors. For sure the best Italian cookies I've found in the DC area!!!! I can't wait to try the cakes!!! Thank you, Nicole!!

I ordered a box full of rainbow cookies to give to friends around Christmas. Shipping was fast, and the owner is very responsive! More importantly the cookies are FANTASTIC! I've been searching for real Italian rainbow cookies and usually only find mass produced disappointment. Not here! These were fresh and delicious. I will definitely be a repeat customer next time I want to treat myself and my friends. Also looking forward to trying more of their offerings

I recently moved to Fairfax and was searching for good Italian food. I stumbled across Bisnonna in a Northern Virginia mag article, found them on IG, and saw that they were having a pop-up the next day. The various pastries I purchased were unbelievably good. The limoncello cannoli's were a perfect mix of sweet ricotta, lemon, and crisp shells, which they filled to order. The Italian rainbow cookies had just the right amount of almond flavor; the lemon ricotta cookies were splendid; but the star of the show was the single-serve cup of pistachio raspberry tiramisu. It may be the best dessert I have ever eaten; the creaminess, the perfect blend of raspberry, coffee, and rum. I cannot wait to purchase an entire tiramisu for Easter! I saw on their IG that they are perfecting their zeppole -sign me up! I look forward to tasting all of their creations!

I’ve been searching for a good Italian pastry shop in NoVa for years, and now I’ve found this great one! I ordered some sfogliatella to bake at home for Christmas morning and they were a hit! Definitely a must try for Italian pastry in the Fairfax area!

My taste in Italian deserts is quite limited and honestly I love what Bisnonna has on offer, my wife however grew up with Italian deserts and will eat nothing else in this area but Bisnonna Bakeshop! I think we have become their best customer as my wife just can’t get enough! (And neither can I!) The cannolis are simply divine and they are always coming up with new unique and decadent flavors! They have pop ups on Saturdays and if they had more I would easily be 20 pounds heavier!

Been buying their cannoli and cookies since 2020! They are the best!! I also loved the pumpkin spice tiramisu that was a special this fall

Our tiramisu and Italian cookie trays from Bisnonna were the perfect way to conclude our wedding celebrations! The cookies gave me a chance to celebrate my Italian heritage, and the tiramisu cake was beautiful for pictures and, more importantly, delicious! Nicole was a pleasure to work with, and the whole ordering process was informative and easy. I know we'll be back to Bisnonna when it's time to celebrate another special event.

Bought a few cannoli for an impromptu family dinner/girls' movie night - and they were an absolute HIT! I regretted not taking pictures of the cute little confections before they were gobbled up in minutes; that's how quickly they were "dealt with", as we like to say. We enjoyed piping the cannoli cream ourselves; that was pretty cool. Absolutely loved them, loved the response I got from the (notoriously picky) fam, and I can't wait to order/visit again!

TLDR: Five stars because so many cannolis out there are awful and these are actually good, but maybe 4 stars because there's room for improvement. My usual cannoli place opened in 1921, and my family has gone there ever since. I'm the 4th (maybe 5th?) generation to ride or die with them, but ordering cannoli to be shipped to VA, while perfectly fine, is pretty expensive. So I appreciate that just like my regular place, Bisnonna doesn't fill the shells in advance and will give you piping bags for a to go order. What drew me here are the flavor options. My usual place is full on traditional. Their pastry certificates dating to the 1890s and issued in Italy prior to immigrating to the US are on the wall. They make perfect Italian sweets, exactly as they always did, so they don't really branch out in flavor. I'm... mixed but generally pretty positive with my Bisnonna experience. Cannoli Shells: Some of the shells tasted kind of strongly of the oil they are fried in, and it overpowered the filling. This was unexpected because other shells of the same flavor did not. I've never had the shells at my usual place taste like oil, but I'll make concessions to get a local cannoli. Classic Ricotta: Per usual I hated the chocolate in the filling, which is a good sign. Means it was done right and the right amount. (Hating the chocolate is a ME thing, not a problem with how it's made). The ricotta part was good. If I wanted just a few traditional cannolis without a 6 hour round trip drive, or shipping costs, I definitely order here. If they could do a special order without the chocolate? Yes please. Pistachio: Was... good? I want to say good. It was very strange because I'm not used to it, but I liked it. In fact, I'm gonna order it for my mom to try. I couldn't tell if the flavor came off a bit artificial or not, but that's a line walked on everything pistachio flavored, including ice creams and gelato. Still, I'm ordering it again so that says something. Limoncello: The cannoli I most looked forward to. Not bad, but maybe not one I'd try again. I think it was more to do with the texture of the filling being different from the others, which may be a matter of citrus causing a textural change. Top marks though for packaging, and for color coating which filling goes with which shell. I'm looking forward to trying other flavors soon, and getting my mom's opinion.

We drove from Arlington and waited over an hour to try their cannolis and I was disappointed. I can't recommend this bakery if you're looking for guaranteed good cannolis, since the day I went the cannolis weren't it.The shells for the 4 we ordered were all overcooked and had a weird chewy texture. They are also extremely overpriced at $4 a mini cannoli. The classic also does not come with chocolate chips though the description in the shop lists it.I've had better stateside cannoli in NJ and Boston. Cannoli can't compare to that of Italy.Update: don't you love it when businesses reply to responses and instead of actually responding to any of the points they invalidate the review?
