I’ve been coming to De Clieu for years and everything I’ve tried has only been amazing! It’s a great cafe with amazing people and delicious treats— the drinks are always made with such care and the staff is polite and really tries to get to know you. I love that they always bring back seasonal favorites and create new drinks to keep things fresh and exciting.

There is a lot of seating but it fills up quick so keep that in mind!

I am an Air Force officer who has lived and traveled all over the US and the world for over 28 years and also went to Culinary Institute of America. Of all the coffee/Pastry/sandwich shops I have been to without exception De Clieu coffee and sandwich shop on Main Street in Fairfax VA has raised the Platinum bar on its competitors when it comes to OUTSTANDING COFFEE/FABULOUS Breakfast Treats. The quality of their coffee and selection brings water to my eyes. Its smooth, rich and bold taste takes you where ever you want to go in the world and keeps you coming back for more. The service is impeccable and they bring a warmth that is much needed in today's world!!! I drive 28 miles just to go there and bathe in the delight I get from drinking and eating at their cozy cafe.
Glad God pointed me in the right direction…I will never look back.
I am a customer that loves when people go above and beyond and thats what you get at De Clieu Coffee and Sandwich cafe!!! BTW They also have a place in Reston.

I am a vegan, and I appreciate that they have several options for plant-based milk for the drinks. I also appreciate that they have at least one vegan (and coincidentally gluten free) snack, a peanut butter bar, as well as oatmeal I could eat. I'd go back any time!

So sad they don't make the cheddar chive scones any more!

This place is fantastic and the quality of the product is always stellar. It is always, always busy!!! Finding a place to sit is a bonus and be prepared to stand in line for a few minutes. It is worth the wait.

Been here twice in less than a week because it’s so good. Ameretto Latte (with soy) was smooth and not too sweet. Delicious breakfast sandwiches (I had the Eggacado and also another time the Eggacado Verde). Great location, easy parking. Owner Jade cares a lot about her patrons. Free WiFi. I tried her creation Orange Bon Bon espresso…so tasty.

I stopped by the café today for the first time in a while, and it was so busy there was hardly any room to stand. Even so, the staff served everything quickly, which I really appreciated. I tried the new vegetarian sandwich with portobello mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, cheese, and mixed greens on ciabatta—it was absolutely delicious. The strawberry matcha latte and the Aloha Sunrise were also amazing, and the peach green tea was fantastic too. Despite the crowd, everything came out quickly, and it was just as tasty as the café’s long-standing tradition💜

This cafe is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, the warm aroma of freshly roasted coffee hit me — rich, bold, and clearly crafted with care. You can tell they take their beans seriously, and it shows in every sip. I had a pour-over that was perfectly balanced, with notes of chocolate and citrus. Incredible.

What really stood out was their house-made syrup — I tried Pumpkin Pie Latte and Okinawa Haze Latte, and both added a beautiful, subtle twist without being overly sweet or artificial. It's the kind of detail that makes the experience feel thoughtful and unique.

And don’t get me started on the sandwiches. I ordered the roasted veggie on sourdough, and it was fresh, flavorful, and made with obvious attention to quality. The bread was crusty and warm, and the ingredients tasted like they were just picked.

Great service, calm atmosphere, and a place I’ll absolutely return to. A true hidden treasure for coffee and food lovers alike. Highly recommend!
