I’m from Texas, on my recent visit to the city here we had lunch and loved the food.

I I used to enjoy coming here and visited again yesterday, but something seems to have changed—either the owner or the chef.
The food quality was okay, but the kebabs used to be juicy and flavorful, and now they’re not. The naan bread was always one of my favorite parts of the meal, but it seems different now as well. The eggplant salad, which I always loved, was disappointing this time.
The doogh and chai tea also used to be excellent. This time, the tea tasted like hot water with a tea bag, despite being called “special tea.”
To make matters worse, the bill came to about $120 for two people, which felt expensive considering the decline in quality and overall experience.
Overall, the restaurant is not the same as it used to be, and I hope they can bring back the quality that made it so enjoyable in the past.
My favorite chaichona to bring family in, they always love the lagman, tomato cucumber salad( idk what is the sauce but its goes very well with veggies), also try samsa, the meat is good and the dough is like homemade. My cousin enjoys dumpling soup and I like also their special tea bleand🥰
We went in the restaurant and they told us you are in the waiting list and we will call you when the table is ready so we waited and after an hour they told us that the chef as ran out of food and we can’t take any order and we forgot you call you guys about this never going there again.

I ordered four plates of kebab, but the lady only brought four pieces of kebab. When I told her that I ordered four plates, not four pieces, she spoke very rudely and said that I only asked for four pieces. Then I told her that it was their job to explain clearly to customers how the order works.
She continued to be rude and mean, and because of the delay, our food got cold. It also took a very long time for them to bring the other 3 plates of kebab.
Very disappointing experience. That young lady was not trained well at all and had very poor customer service. I do not recommend this place at all. Very disappointed, especially with the rude behavior and how she handled the situation.
The food was flavorful and the portions were satisfying. The kebabs were juicy and well-seasoned, and the meat pastry was fresh and crispy. The atmosphere and cultural artwork inside the restaurant also gave the place a warm and authentic feeling. The salads and eggplant dish were fresh and complemented the meal nicely.
A few things could be improved. There were no fountain drinks available, water was served in a plastic cup, and knives were not provided at the table, which made eating some dishes less convenient.

This place used to be great! However, the last two times, the service experience and the time to get food has been horrible.
At my most recent visit, ordered a vegetarian Gambian soman. When the food was served around 20 minutes later, it had meat in it. Asked them to replace it but the plate never arrived even after asking for it again and again. Finally, after my family was done with their entire meal, I just had to ask them to pack it. Had the exact same experience on the visit before where I waited 50 minutes for the same dish.
Servers don’t seem interested, have to constantly keep looking for someone to serve water and check about the status of the order.
And the biggest joke is paying 18% gratuity for this kind of service.
This used to be a great place to eat and we’ve been going there for years. Unfortunately the last 2 visits have made sure we’ll never step a foot inside this restaurant again.

Mandatory 18% gratuity is unacceptable.

It has a good location. Foods are authentic and delicious. It would be better if they let some fresh air come in.

I visited twice, the food was delicious in first time but lagman was cold when we visited second time, this week. completely cold. Also, they do charge 18% gratitude fee even if you are 2 people (other than the tip).

Eerkins Uyghur Restaurant in Fairfax, VA has quickly become one of our favorite spots. Their kabobs are outstanding perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of flavor every time. The laghman is equally delicious, with fresh, chewy noodles and a rich, satisfying taste that keeps us coming back.
We also really enjoy their eggplant salad, which is flavorful and well-balanced. On top of that, their soups are consistently delicious and comforting. Overall, it’s a fantastic place for authentic Uyghur cuisine, and we always leave happy. ♥️

I honestly wouldn’t come back here. The food was really disappointing — it was dry, hard to chew, and the portions were way too small for how overpriced everything was. It honestly tasted like something you’d grab from a market and just heat up, not fresh at all.
The place itself looked nice, kind of old in a cozy way, but that was probably the only good part. The customer service wasn’t great either. Our server never came to check on us, and she was pretty dry the whole time. The only positive was that one of the guys working there was actually nice.
Overall, not worth the money.

I was surprised to find that the restaurant automatically added an 18% gratuity without informing customers beforehand, and on top of that, they still encouraged additional tipping, which feels misleading.
The food was very average—bland and with very little meat, especially given the high prices.
The naan under the lamb shank had a bad, sour smell—not the normal fermented bread aroma, but a spoiled sourness.
Overall, not worth it. I would not recommend this place.

Worst. We drove 35mins to this place . We ordered on the phone for carryout and they misplaced the order. Also we ordered so many items and they gave just 2 chili oils!!! They mentioned that one chili oil per item and we had 6.they said extra charge for the rest. I mean what!?Can't even place the order properly. Horrible experience. Don't know how to serve. Never coming back. Petty restaurant.
