Firehouse Subs Fairfax Towne Center

I recently visited this Firehouse Subs location on Veteran's Day and was thoroughly disappointed with the service. When I arrived, the cashier was on her phone, barely paying attention, and seemed uninterested in helping me with my order. I asked about the Veteran's Day special, which I knew was available to veterans. However, when I mentioned it, she insisted it was only for those in uniform.

I left initially and checked the offer; it said it is for those in uniform or with valid ID. So I went back inside and pointed out the offer details, but she continued to refuse, saying that her boss told her it was only for those in uniform and claiming she just follows the rules. It was frustrating to experience such disregard and unwillingness to honor their own promotion, even after I showed her the clear terms. She was very rude throughout the entire engagement. Unacceptable service – I expected better from this business. never going back. Firehouse - next year, just don't offer Veteran's Day special if you are not going to honor it. It is not just this location. I've come across numerous negative reviews online about other Firehouse Sub location's handling of the Veterans Day special.

Good food, atmosphere inside seems dark with horrible lighting. outside was filled with self entitled Panera customers who overtook the firehouse seating area. Firehouse customers that wanted to eat outside were unable find seating . Firehouse needs to have signs on their outside tables for firehouse customers only and enforce this. I dont want to compete with the panera customers for seats to enjoy my meal.

Was waiting for a pick up order inside with about 15-20 other patrons during the lunch rush, when an employee LOCKED THE ONLY EXIT and Entrance because it’s “busy”. A customer tried to walk out not knowing the door was locked and couldn’t leave! I unlocked that door so fast.

Way to put people’s safety at risk and violate those codes!! Sub was good though!

I prefer ordering online, even though this location takes FOREVER. Doesn’t matter the time or day, they’re slow. I’ve visited in person twice and no “hello” no “welcome” I even made eye contact with someone on the line and didn’t even get a smile. Ordering through apps still takes 35+ minutes but at least I get my food warm. This location needs some serious customer service training. Would not recommend; there’s a Jersey Mike’s about 10 min down away that will give you better service.

Very friendly! Low carb, so got my sub in a bowl with lettuce. Meat and bacon were cut up. Greatly appreciate it!

Update: I have already reached out to them. Awaiting a response.Poor service. Can’t follow basic instructions. Manager needs training. Got home to find they made my sandwich incorrectly, adding items I didn’t ask for and which I can’t eat. I called them and they offered no help, never apologized and essentially said “oh well”. As a long time customer, I was pretty disappointed to say the least. Not sure I’ll return.

This business is a scam on Uber Eats. They offer a free item with a $20.00 purchase, and then don't deliver the free item. You can't ask for a refund because it was a free item. But there's no way I would buy their over-priced food without the free item offer.

Never disappointed by this location!! They always have the freshest rolls, the meat stacked high on the subs and the friendliest staff!!!!!! Thank you for being such a great place for me to take my grandma!
