Came with a party of 6 adults and 3 kids. They have individual pots or family style. Server was super knowledgeable and attentive. Food was delicious, you can customize everything about your soup. Will definitely be back.

This is a great AYCE hot spot. I read some reviews about the broth being bland when they ordered the mushroom broth. I ordered the spicy mala broth and that was almost perfect. I have been here numerous times and the consistency in the broth is great too. I have tried numerous hot pot places and this is hands down my favorite place. The quality of meat is great. The selection of seafood offers shrimp, octopus, crayfish, flounder, claims, etc. The veggie selection is good and fresh. The sauce bar offers fresh garlic, green onions, green peppers, and cilantro.. The service is attentive. The manager/owner checks to see if you are doing good which I find refreshing. If you are looking for the entire package in an AYCE hot pot place then I recommend going here. I would rank this place as the best NOVA AYCE hot pot place and gom shabu shabu as the best non AYCE option. Order the spicy mala broth if you like spice!
I forgot to mention you can choose family style (big shared pot) ot individual per person pot. I always choose individual so I can't elaborate on family style. And there is a lunch price and a dinner price on weekdays and all day price on weekends. I think the difference is $5 and dinner/weekend offers the complete menu. The lunch menu has a wide selection too and is less crowded. So I recommend trying this place out for the first time at lunch!

I had an amazing time here. The Hot Pot is so enjoyable, you can cook at your own pace and eat at it as well. The servers are always coming around and making sure you have everything you need. If you haven't been here I'd suggest giving it a try!

Not the best experience but it was okay. The pot almost dried up so needed to pour some water into it while we waited for the server to come. Our orders kept getting forgotten and we were attended maybe once every 20 minutes.

If redeeming Groupon at this establishment, heed all restrictions i.e. no holidays, only 1 redemption per table, operating hours for lunch vs dinner etc. We want to try it out for 1st time & choose today which happen to be June 19th - not really a national holiday & was advised our voucher can not be used. Buyer beware.
Beautiful. Splendid. Wonderful. Glorious. Matchless. Some of the words that pop up in my head when I eat at hotspot.
From the moment you walk in, the amazing music choices from the staff makes you immersed in the hotspot experience.
My server, Ted, was just so amazing. Shout out to Ted!
All the food options make it the best hotpot experience in NoVA.
Thank you Hotspot!

This method and concept were new to us. The food is so Good
the choices are numerous. The food is delicious and it’s very healthy and the service was out of sight. I can’t wait to come back!
Best HotPot spot in town and the sauce/oil bar is amazing
It was our first time visiting Hot Spot, but it will be our last. The food was great and we enjoyed the individual hot pots; however, the service we received from our server was disappointing. What made it worse was the fact that she ran after us and questioned the tip we left her. Yes, we left her a tip, but she was not happy with it and suggested the RECOMMENDED %. As a paying customer who tips, this behavior from the server was both ungrateful and unprofessional. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else and hopefully this review sets your expectations if your server is Evelyn.
Our first visit to Hot Spot was amazing, so we decided to return with friends for a second time. Food is great. The service on the other hand- needs more improvement.
We were seated quickly and waited about five minutes for our server to arrive. We went on a Saturday, just a few hours after the restaurant opened. It wasn’t very busy, but it wasn’t slow either.
I gave 1 star for the service for a few reasons. First, our server didn’t introduce herself or ask if we wanted any drinks, which is something most restaurants typically do. I had to ask if we could get some water, as it didn’t seem like she was going to offer.
While our food came out quickly—thanks to the kitchen staff for promptly preparing the orders—our server didn’t check in on us until it was time to place the next round of meat orders. She was rarely around, and we constantly had to ask for things instead of being offered them.
We didn’t feel like we received good service, and our tip reflected that experience. However, as we were leaving the restaurant, our server followed us outside to question the tip. We were taken aback when she said, “I noticed you didn’t tip the RECOMMENDED percentage, and I was wondering why.”
We explained to her what we felt was lacking in the service, and she responded by saying that the restaurant uses tips as a way to evaluate and improve their service. Understood. Regardless, it was completely inappropriate for her to follow us outside just to question the tip—especially after she herself said tipping was recommended, not required.
I’ve never had to justify how I tip, nor have I ever been chased down by a server to explain the amount I gave. I always leave a tip, but if I’m expected to explain or defend the amount, I might as well not leave one at all.
Because of this experience, in my honest opinion, I don’t think it’s worth returning to this restaurant.
Listen we demolished the food! It’s a whole vibe! Staff is friendly personable and just everything! I recommend based off the customer service alone!!! It’s a great date spot and drinks 10 out of 10! Waitress was amazing with everything even her recommendations! Please check it out!!! Staff and food is amazing!!
