I'm a big fan of Indian cuisine and I'm always on the hunt for the best int he DMV area, whether vegetarian specialty or full-fledged indian joints. Even though this restaurant is the closest to my place, I wouldn't rank it high on my list. It's an ok restaurant with a bit less than average quality and taste. I tried a couple of dishes but I was not blown away. I tried their weekend buffet years ago when I was a broke student, but I dont remember the quality.
We went on Sunday at opening for the buffet! Food was excellent, owners and staff were very attentive, an the restaurant is very clean and well decorated! We loved the lamb curry, paneer tikka masala, palak (spinach) dish, butter chicken, and grilled chicken. Naan is served fresh to each table and - perfectly soft and pillowy. Everything was well seasoned, not too salty, a little kick to some dishes but not too spicy, and their “Indian icecream” dessert was amazing - almost like a very creamy light caramel. 100% recommend the mango lassi. Real yogurt, not too sweet. Perfection in my opinion! My mom and I loved it :) we’ll be back!

One of the worst Indian restaurants in northern VA. Here is the list of issues I faced -
- no Air Conditioning on a day when it was 78 degrees outside
- their Masala Chai is served without milk. I thought they made a mistake and served black coffee instead of chai
- Samosas were clearly refried in oil instead of being prepared fresh
- the rice served with the curry was also stale
- the service was pretty awful. I returned the chai because it wasn't masala chai. There was no enterprise from the waitress or the manager to address the issue and actually prepare masala chai the way it's traditionally prepared - with water, milk and spices.

The weekend buffet is SO worth it !! I truly couldn’t believe the price for how much food you can get, and it was all so delicious ! Seriously, the quality you get for the low price you pay is something I cannot overstate. I especially LOVED the paneer dish. They also have really good cocktails and mango lassi. I especially want to shout out Ujjwal who was incredibly attentive, helpful, and friendly. He truly elevated our experience. We will definitely be back :)

A really good place to eat with a good atmosphere. However, people who enjoy spicy food might not enjoy it as much because they've adjusted their dishes for foreign tastes. But it's still good place to eat.
