Good Food, Horrendous Service
If I could give zero stars for service and five for the food, I would. Unfortunately, the dining experience as a whole was completely ruined by the abysmal service.
We started by ordering drinks — just water. Simple, right? Apparently not. After 20 minutes with no drinks, the owner (I assume) finally came over to take both our drink and food orders. Another 10 minutes later, we finally got our water.
From there, it only got worse. We waited an additional 30 minutes for our food while watching other tables get their orders served in record time. The owner even came by at one point to say he would "check on our order," but it didn’t seem to speed things up.
When the food finally arrived, I’ll admit it was good — probably the only redeeming part of this disaster. But once the food hit the table, that was the last we saw of any staff. No one checked on us, no refills on water, nothing. After we finished eating, we waited another 10 minutes before flagging someone down for our check, which still took another 10 minutes to arrive.
The food was great, but the service was so atrocious that it completely overshadowed the meal. I wouldn’t come back if it were free. Go somewhere else unless you enjoy being ignored.

I was really disappointed with the service during my recent visit. The staff was demanding tips in a rude and impolite manner, even yelling at our guests from another country. I've always loved coming here for the sushi, but this experience has made me reconsider. I especially feel sorry for Yuri, the waitress, whose behavior and attitude made the day unbearable. I may not return after this experience. If you want to maintain good mood, highly recommend to skip this place.

Super nice and friendly staff with great service. The owner walks around and greets all customers. Love their family-friendly atmosphere too. The quality of food is just ordinary. My family ordered Chirahsi regular, miso Ramen, Chicken Teriyaki box, and Donburi. The quality of sashimi on Chirashi was just ok. I could eat them all, but they were definitely not top-notch. Miso Ramen was too blend and Donburi was hard to eat. Teriyaki and tempuras were good. Decent japanese place for it’s cheaper price. I wouldn’t go here if you are looking for the best japanese cuisine in the area.
Kid-friendliness: Staffs were friendly to babies, and gave out rollipops and jellys.

The food was great, but the service? Let’s just say I think the waiter was practicing for a role as a professional ghost. We waited so long between courses, I was starting to wonder if they were growing the vegetables in the back.
At one point, I flagged the waiter down and she looked surprised, like she didn’t know this was part of her job. When the bill came, he asked, "Would you like to leave a tip?" Sure—here's a tip: if your service was any slower, we'd need a time machine to get out of here.

After reading a review that mentioned the best ginger dressing, I was thrilled to find that to be true! Not normally a ginger dressing fan but this one had depth of flavor and was really good. The miso soup was very flavorful as well. We got a bunch of sushi rolls and they were all very good. Service was great and they were shocked when we said we lived in Florida but found them online. They brought out a dessert for us to share as a thank you for coming in. We will absolutely go back if we’re in town again!
