I have been coming here since they opened in 2015 it’s always been amazing service and delicious food. The owner is the sweetest person and always personable and remembers his clients. Would 10/10 recommend Pho Banh Mi & Grill.

Don’t bother, the owner seems illiterate when it comes to manners or service. Even though I didn’t even bother talking much after seeing their behavior with another lady, they were still unreasonably rude. If they don’t have the money to be running a restaurant then they just shouldn’t lol, cause this guy literally says “cause you gotta support the environment” while charging for a box when there’s more food left and we wanna take it home. Your customers are paying for the food and get disgusting service cause these ppl don’t even give plates and fork or spoon when serving and then they tell their customers taking home is extra charge? I was just straight up paying for the box and he still had to add “cause you gotta support the environment”. after I packed my food and was leaving with my friend he was gonna stop us unnecessarily and said “excuse me” and I was like “excuse you what now”, then he said oh okay. I don’t know what is wrong with this guy but they really need to learn basic manners. Don’t run a restaurant if you’ll chase ppl down for bags, boxes, etc. Pathetic.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Horrible customer service, the owner is very rude and treats his paying customers like trash. He has no respect at all for his customers. Even if you’re the only one in there, you will still get no service and will be treated with the utmost disrespect. Tips are demanded, and if you don’t because of the poor service, you will get called “cheap”. You will be treated as if you’re an inconvenience at this place. 0 stars.
The absolute WORST customer service ever.
My sister and I (both hijabi’s) got to the restaurant, there was only 1 couple that was seated and they were basically finished and getting ready to leave. Me and my sister went and just seated ourselves bc it was empty and no one was standing in the front, after a couple mins my sister was like (to me) is someone gunna come give us menus or anything? Then she got up and started walking around just to see the restaurant and noticed that there was a sign in the front that said wait to be seated, she came to me and told me and i was like oh it’s okay they’ll still come (the owner literally saw us from the back kitchen area walk in and walk to the seat) and so we kept waiting and then after like 15 mins i got up and went to the front again and the man sees me and he yells basically across the restaurant saying CAN I HELP U? With a big attitude and i ignored it and asked if we were supposed to order in the front or if someone would come to the table. He grabbed the sign and pointed at it saying “it says wait to be seated” and then basically shoo’d me away to go back to the table we were sitting at. Our order was taken and food was fine. We were getting ready to leave and my sister went to ask him for to go containers, I asked her to get me an extra one so I can separate my broth from the noodles. She asked him and again, with an attitude, he asked “why do you need two containers?” She told him why, and he said he already gave us a free container and another container would cost extra and just straight up walked away without hearing what she had to say. My sister came back to me and told me and I was like whatever that’s weird. I went to him and asked for some napkins, he walked to the other side of the restaurant, yelled “YOU HAVE TO COME HERE” with an attitude and then handed me one single napkin. I asked him if I could get more and then again, hands me one napkin again. I ignored it again and went back to finish packing our food. Then we went up to the front to pay and as we’re standing there, I asked him for a bag to put my food in. He said “we charge .20¢ for bags” and I was confused and asked why and he was like “when you go to the grocery store, you pay for bags there too” i was like that doesn’t matter that’s a grocery store, you’re a restaurant.. when customers get food for takeout, don’t you give them bags? And he’s like yeah that’s because they order for takeout, i already gave you a free container so anything else I’m going to charge you. I was like I’m still taking my food to go so it’s the same thing. We basically kept going back and forth about that and I brought up how rude he was when we first got here and how he was grabbed the “wait to be seated” sign and he grabbed the sign again and started aggressively pointing at it and he was like “yeah you can’t read? It says wait to be seated” and I was like we made eye contact.. you saw us sit down, you could’ve have come either way. He starts getting more aggressive and getting loud and I was calmly saying you’re being so rude to your customers, that’s not how you’re supposed to treat your customers, etc and as me and him are going back, my sisters signing the receipt and she crosses off the tip spot bc of how rude he was being and when he saw that, he grabbed the receipt and started aggressively waving it in my face, screaming saying “YOU DIDNT TIP EITHER, YOU DONT TIP THATS WHY” and I was like well yeah that’s because you’re being so rude, ofc you’re not going to get a tip and he gets even more mad and starts shoo’ing us away and screaming saying “GET OUT MY STORE GET OUT OF HERE I DONT NEED YOUR BUSINESS” and we start walking out of the store, he comes around the c register and he’s like “yeah get out get out” as he’s closing the door behind us he’s like “YOU PEOPLE NEVER TIP, YOURE SO CHEAP”

I wish I could give 0 stars. The customer service is probably the worst in the DMV. The employees are very rude and disrespectful. We left no tip due to this experience and we were called “cheap” by the owner/manager as we were leaving. Never going back

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!
Owner was unbelievable rude, didn’t provide any service, even with us being the ONLY people in the restaurant, asked us if we were “able to read” and charges extra for to-go containers, plastic bags, & NAPKINS! Called us “cheap” for not leaving tip after the horrible experience. Were told to “get the hell out of the store” and being told “you people are always cheap” as we left and the owner LOCKED the door behind us!!

I have been to this location before and the it the service was ok. BUT, this time the owner was extremely rude. I have never felt so disrespected at a restaurant by the staff before. He asked me to pay for the to go box and bag when I was leaving. He never came to assist me at my table when I was waiting and I had to go ask them to take our order. He kept shoving his sign on the table to my face and slammed and locked the door behind me while leaving. I was leaving the restuarant at 8:45 but they close at 9. Never going there nor would I recommend anyone to go.

Sure! Here's a review for you:
Pho, Banh & Grill is an absolute gem! My fiancé and I drive all the way from DC every time we crave halal pho, and it’s always worth the trip. Their beef and chicken pho is simply delicious and amazing, with rich, flavorful broth and tender, halal-certified meat. The attention to quality and authenticity is clear in every bowl. The cozy ambiance and friendly service make the experience even better. If you're in Virginia and looking for the best halal pho, this is the place to go!

My visit here was an absolute nightmare. The owner is extremely unprofessional and lacks basic etiquette, treating both employees and customers with blatant disrespect. His prejudice towards Muslims is alarming and unacceptable.
Customer service is non-existent. The owner penny-pinches on every little thing, including napkins, and charges extra for bags. It’s clear he has no regard for creating a positive experience for anyone. Save yourself the trouble and take your business elsewhere.

The owner is incredibly rude, charging us for to-go boxes and napkins. When we asked for an extra to-go box, the owner’s attitude became even more unpleasant.
Due to the poor service, we decided not to leave a tip. In response, the owner screamed at us, which was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I don’t understand how this business is still running if they treat customers this way. They do not deserve to operate a restaurant with such a lack of respect and courtesy towards their customers.
