Special treat taking our grandchildren to a Japanese hibatchi restaurant, and we have been to several different ones. When we saw that our favorite nearby one had closed recently, we found this restaurant, which we had never been to, and crossed our fingers for a good experience and fun cooking entertainment for ourselves and our granddaughters. Who doesn’t enjoy the experience, right! Very impressed with how much food you get, and it seemed the chefs took more time with the guests rather than rushing everything in. Lots of folks were there on a Sunday night with a holiday the next day. Our chef did spend a lot of attention to a father and his teenage daughter who were part of our group of eight. They were wearing shirts for the Washington football team. I suppose the chef thought everyone would enjoy football and sports talk the whole time. Want a show, not sports talk and my granddaughters got bored and I doubt the two other ladies out for a birthday dinner wanted to hear about sports and sport players. I hope the two out of eight of us wearing their jerseys had a better time than we did hearing our chef talk about sports and they were the clear focus of his attention. My granddaughters ( 8,11) got so bored they finally left to go in the restroom, we had been sitting for a very long time.. Those of us sitting were getting pretty full, as I said, a lot of food, my granddaughters were not seated, they were in the restroom because the entertainment had gotten boring with all the sports talk. Finally, the chef asked if anyone wanted to try and catch bits of food in their mouth. Granddaughters were not there, everyone was pretty full, this should have happened much earlier in the experience. By now everyone was not feeling as hungry and I thought the timing came too late. No one was interested…when does that ever happen, that is part I of the fun. This was suppose to be a special treat for our grandkids, and not even sherbet at the end. The birthday women got a cupcake. Geez, how expensive could it be to serve a scoop of orange sherbet. Also, big chunks of corn with the vegetables. What was that it is a Japanese steakhouse. My drink was all sugar and hardly any alcohol, and the soup, which should have been made with slight fish stock, was bullion cubes…and too salty. Even the salad dressing looked like it was scraped from the bottom of the bowl and was not fresh looking and mushy. Scallops were delicious, shrimp was too tough, all the sports talk, they were over cooked. Our chef was friendly but he misread who his audience was.

Kid-friendliness: Kids don’t)t want to hear about football.

Good food and service. But the teriyaki side of the restaurant seems to be smoky. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Can’t speak to the hibachi but the sushi from here is really, really good. I’ve ordered many times now for delivery and it is always great. Big rolls with lots of fish, fresh, and they always provide lots of ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce.

First time I've tried a restaurant of this style. I quite liked enjoying the skill of the cook. Be careful with the quantities, they are quite large!

HORRIBLE Service. Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. I walked in there for lunch about a week ago, and just stood there for about 5 minutes. There were several employees there including a woman who appeared to be a server and/or hostess. They all acknowledged my presence, and said nothing to me. No greeting, no nothing. They were not even busy in there at the time, and I couldn't even get so much as just a simple greeting. After 5 minutes, I just walked out and left. I do NOT recommend this place at all, unless you enjoy very bad service.

I've gotten take out a couple times in case maybe they just messed up the first couple times. They've forgotten my rice every time even when my husband asked "is there rice in there?" They say yes but nope. I paid $2 for each extra sauce and didn't get them. That's $6. I have this place a few chances but every time it's been terrible. It's a shame because the food isn't bad.

Horrible Service. I walked in for lunch one day, and not a single person greeted me for about 5 minutes. They were not busy at all, and there were multiple staff members there including a woman who appeared to be either a server or host who saw and acknowledged my presence. I was completely ignored, and then after 5 minutes I just walked out and left. Absolute Terrible customer service.

This place was awesome all around. My kids loved it. They enjoyed the performance of the chef and the food. It is spendy but you get a ton of food! We left with three boxes and all four of us were stuffed. Highly recommend.

I always have a good experience when dining here. The sushi is good and the hibachi is good. The lumb crab roll is not lump crab anymore it is more of a craft salad filling now.

Delicious food, fun activities, and great environment! Be aware - you might miss catching the yummy shrimp or food and it land on your clothes as part of the show!

Great hibachi chefs. Biggest drawback is despite having reservations, we still had to wait as if we did not have one. There were several tables open. Too bad.

Today, I reserved three seats for 8 pm for hibachi. I went with my family so they could experience hibachi for the first time, and the experience was bad. The chef that we got was inappropriate with my family the whole time. From approaching our faces and staring into our eyes up close to bangering his kitchenware in front of our plates to grab our attention and aggressively pretending to throw a spatula at my son. My brother was scared because the chef wouldn't stop joking around with his spatula like that. At one point, he put oil on his spatula and created a flame on it, and some of the oil spilled close to us. My family felt very uncomfortable throughout the meal. The chef gave us attitude and barely any personal space. He was very disrespectful. The chef also had an aggressive tone when he found out that my brother and i barely speak english. I don't want to bring my family back here for those reasons. The chef was an old average height man. We didn't appreciate his jokes. We just wanted respect, a good meal, and to have a good time. This chef gave us the opposite.

It was a good atmosphere. The employees were nice and engaging. The food was ok, nothing different than what you get at these chain restaurants and a little on the greasy side. My meat was over cooked. Requested medium and it was pretty much well done, meat quality is ok. I recommend for entertainment factor. It is expensive, but they give you a lot of food. Expect chain restaurant food quality. I don’t recommend going here if you have a lot of allergies as food will be cross contaminated because of how most of it is prepared.

Vegetarian options: There are veggies.
