Every time I drove past and saw Tippy’s I wondered if it was any good. Now I know. I went and ordered an enchilada plate and a taco. Food was bland. Pretty much everything is stuff you would buy at a supermarket to make your own. Premade taco shells, tortilla chips out of a bag, pinto beans that tasted like they had just come out of a can, etc. The chicken was not impressive.I hate to be negative but once is enough.

This is a time portal to 1984. This isn’t fine dining, it’s a little hole in the wall with amazing taco sauce, good Mexican food at an affordable price, nice carry out family style options, and friendly service.Kid-friendliness: They don’t give you any issue coming in with a kid.

I have frequented this location for decades and the portions have progressively gotten smaller and smaller but the service is always pretty good. Got the all-you-can-eat weekend special yesterday (a Sunday) for just shy of $19 with tax and the 4 tacos I ordered had very little meat filling and the shells were not crispy at all (stale) and what meat that was there was tasteless--straight hamburger no seasoning, the California burrito was half the size it use to be now mostly flour tortilla buy gravy was still tasty; additionally the great hot sauce they have had forever has been replaced with a generic watered down store bought brand. Ate half my meal and left very disappointed. I am striking them of my casual dining list for good which is too bad but I guess all good things must eventually come to an end...

Tippy's is the best taco place anywhere in Northern. It's not fancy, but the best version of the tacos you remember from your childhood and a lot of their other food is also excellent. On top of all that their prices are excellent and their service is top-notch.

My favorite thing about this place is the sauce! ?️ I am someone who enjoys spicy foods and it is hot and flavorful enough for me.
