What a shame! This has long been one of our favorite restaurants in the Reston area. But something drastic has happened. It would seem that they have put so much money into the new decor that they can't afford to provide the good food they once did. For example, is there really any excuse for offering up pressed chicken in their fajitas? The chips are now pretty greasy Beyond that the service was poor - slow and sloppy. We ordered nachos as an appetizer.- which never showed up, despite a long wait and few customers at 1:00. Sadly, Uncle Julio's, is now off our list.

My wife and my son decided to invite me to eat at this restaurant for my birthday, the food has always been very good, the reservation was for 9.40pm but what a bad service the waiter took the order. the food and it disappeared, and he never offered them anything to drink, they were more worried about closing than serving our table, all the staff wanted to finish their work and leave, very bad service, never go after 9pm, terrible service,,

The host was amazing. I do recommend making a reservation it makes it easier for everybody. Super nice. Location is somewhat small.Parking: They’re doing a lot of construction, so parking is limited near/close to the Restaurant. But there is several parking like on the other side. It also depends on the time.

Absolutely love this place. One of the best food places around with fast ticket times. They had drinks, and food all out within 10 minutes it was great!

Food was delicious. Server was poor. I asked for the check when we got the food because we had to leave in 20 minutes to get to our entertainment in DC. He brought the electronic payment device to the table and never came back. Walked past several times to serve other tables and never checked to see if we needed any refills, condiments, etc. Never came back for the payment device either.
Terrible service...unfortunately...the people in front do not have...the education...to serve customers...

Had a 6:15 reservation for Saturday night. We arrived at 6:10 and checked in. It's been many years since we've gone to Uncle Julio's. The dining area was insanely loud! Upon checking in, the host gave the other host the ok to seat us. We got all the way to the back of the restaurant when the host told us to go back to the front. They apparently weren't ready to seat us. We proceeded to wait an additional 25 min before we were finally seated. It seemed there were a lot of hosts walking around with iPads but nothing getting done. It was very chaotic with so many people waiting and no one getting seated. Thankfully once we were seated, our server was prompt and attentive. Meal was food. Shrimp fajitas and chicken quesadilla. We had a movie to get to and so we put food and drink orders in all at once. Everything came out quickly. Food was good, but not worth the chaos

We had a fantastic experience at this location. Service was beautiful. We came for my mom's birthday and there was a slight hiccup with our food. The manager came out and let us know and was fantastic. His customer service skills top notch. Our server was attentive and kept our drinks and salsa bowls filled throughout the whole meal. The Chocolate Pinata is an amazing treat for a birthday. Definitely would recommend.
