Servers here are incredibly rude. You'll wait over 1.5 hours here for a seat for okay hotpot and rude servers. There are plenty of better hotpot restaurants in the area that will be getting my business.

PLEASE GO TO HOTSPOT INSTEAD.Super duper disappointed in them. Service was horrible, food came super late (after having to ask them), waiters were rude-had to keep asking them for basically everything-water, chopstick, how to use the stove, and the waitress looked really pissed. Portions are super duper small - i know its all you can eat but how many times can we keep ordering given their extremely slow service. Not worth the money AT ALL. Should have given them 0 tip. Honestly i would have gotten the same dirty look as my (generous tip based on their service) got me.Also very limited non pork broth options. Sauce bar has a line and very tight- hotspot had more broth options and bigger sauce bar with no lines.Strollers not allowed.

Urban is a reliable, delicious hot pot find in northern VA. The menu is full of diverse meats and veggies and the service staff are very friendly. Although a bit on the "pricier side" at $35 for All You Can Eat, you still receive a great value. So why am I scoring it a 3?The answer...active and willful false advertising. I've visited three times in the past 3 months, and, on each visit, there is a large display in the lobby pushing customers to sign-up for the BiteMe Rewards app. I have had success at most BiteMe partner locations with redeeming rewards, but in each of my past 3 visits to Urban, despite the BiteMe App showing an available reward/promotion at Urban, we have been told each time that the restaurant's promotion is "unavailable." That would not be such a big deal, except for the fact that the restaurant continues to publish either actively, or indirectly through its partners, this promotional option with no intention of actually delivering. This is tantamount to disrespecting customers and is something that deserves management's attention.

Excellent food and service! As a native Vietnamese, this food tastes authentic and the ingredients are fresh. I always judge a Vietnamese restaurant by the quality of their greens and there were no brown bean sprouts or wilted mint leaves. Very fresh, very good. Please keep up the high quality of food here so Portuguese people here cuisine of Vietnam!

I am so addicted to this place I want to go at least once a week! The ambience and service is top notch. It's an AYCE and as soon as you're seated, the timer starts. You have an hour and a half so make it count! You have a convenient iPad to order drinks, soups, ingredients, napkins, etc. There's a sauce station with whatever you need to make your dipping desires come true. Several options for broth base for any type of souper you are. My daughter and I's personal favorite is the Tom Yum. My boys love their Miso Soup base. I'm not sure if I will ever get to try any others because once I find what I love, I'm loyal to it.I LOVE their selections of meats, seafood, veggies, and noodles. I can eat here knowing my entire family will be happy eating because they get what they want and the portion sizes are just the right amount so you're not left eating something you didn't want. The dishes come out quick and once you've emptied your plates, servers come by to pick them up just as fast. I love that kind of attention because I like to keep my table tidy and ready for more haha.I always leave this place happy and i can't wait to go back every time. Enjoy!

We first tried Urban in MD given poor VA options at the time and really liked their ordering system (tablet at the table), selection, quality, and speed. Once this location opened up down the street, we now frequent it on cold days. We also tried Fahrenheit, Hot Spot, and O My Hot Pot and still think Urban is the best for is for the sheer soup and ingredient variety.Urban is not without cons as the price has gone up quite a bit, I do not like the wait with no call ahead option on weekends, and really dislike the minimum person limit to make reservations. Sometimes there also out of an ingredient but it's not taken off the menu, you just don't get brought out. That being said, we still go and supplement with Hot Spot if the wait is mind destroying. One tip for anyone new to Hot Pot in general is to only cook the beef briefly (multiple quick dips in the soup) to get to the desired temperature. Otherwise, it will be tough. Threw that in there because I read quite a few reviews with that complaint.

TL;DR: great hot-pot, variety of menu options, good valueI am no expert when it comes to hotpot. Had a bad experience over 10 years ago, and kind of wrote it off. I recently went to a hotpot place, and I didn't hate it. Came here for lunch on a Saturday, and this place has fully converted me.AMBIANCE:The interior is darker and modern, giving date night vibes. We got there around 5PM and there was a 30-60 minutes wait. Luckily, this spot is in Mosaic, so you can leave your phone number with them and find plenty of things to kill the time. Then they'll text you when your table is ready.SERVICE:Service was super friendly and explained everything as soon as you're seated. You order everything off the kiosk, even asking for the check or drink refills.90 minute dine in time limit. ~$35 for AYCE, great value imo! When you order, everything comes out pretty quickly. The beef/meats are the ones that take the longest to come out (comparatively to everything else). I would say at the longest, we waited 5 minutes tops for meat. Seafood, veggies, sides come out in approximately 2 minutes.FOOD:They have a self-serve sauce bar for you to grab sauce dishes with your preferred sauces. Mix them, use them individually, put it into the stock soup, eat it on the side, whatever you want to do!Each person has their own stove top and soup pot, so heaven for a germaphobe like me who doesn't like to share.~Pork Broth: this is their standard base options, and man it was so good!~They have lots of broth/soup base options like Mala, Spicy Kimchi, Pork, Seafood, etc.~Meats were all tasty and cook quickly in boiling soup~Seafood quality was actually really good and funDefinitely coming back here!

It was an interesting restaurant. You order a soup stock, meat, seafood and veggies on the tablet as many as you want within 90min.They have many dipping sauces as well which is a very nice addition as you can make your own.You do all the cooking at your table in your own hotpot which is really nice as you can potentially have several different flavors at one time.We got both healthy herbal and hot spice soup stock. They have a revolving counter like sushi restaurants but they did not use it when we went there which might be because there was no sushi being ordered or it is for dinner use only. The meat we ordered was a little hard which might be because they are frozen when they are cut to make the thin slices easier. All the vegetables were very fresh, but you come here for the meats.Drinks and desserts are delivered by a robot, who seem to have a bad day saying "I am leaving now" but he works hard so we cannot say he is a bad server. The other servers were very fast and friendly keeping the restaurant very clean and tidy so you don't have hundreds of plates sitting on your table. Each dish is small so you can try a lot of different types of meat and vegetables which is a huge plus. The concept of the restaurant is unique and entertaining and we recommend going there to see for yourself.

I recently visited Urban Hot Pot, celebrating a friend’s birthday with a girls’ night out. It was fun. An Asian twist.I have visited other places with a similar concept. However, I liked the fact that everyone had their own individual pots. I also liked that there were different apices available. However, I didn’t like that customers had get heir own spices. I think there must be a better concept for getting spices to customers. Anyway, all their spices were located across the room from us. There eas a robot that delivered items to tables.Food is served family style. Each table had an iPad and had to individually choose the items they want (vegetables, meats, seafood), and each group of items were delivered together. They also have tofu and noodles that were delivered on the vegetable plate. Each person chose their own soup base. I had the vegetable base. We received these small bowls, like the one you get when order Miso soup. With the many sauces, the food was tasty. The only downfall was that some of the items we ordered were not received. But that didn’t impact the price, all still $34.99 per person. Children price is different. We tried to memorialize the moment but the restaurant is a little dark, so it was challenging. There is also a moving conveyor belt in the middle of the restaurant. I couldn’t tell what it was used for. It’s in the Mosaic district. Parking is available in the area. I parked in the Target parking garage. However, it’s about a 5 minute walk. But there is paid parking closer or parking in the residential areas. Also, the maximum amount of payment (cards) accepted is 4. There is a 90-minutes dining time. It’s all you can eat. There is also a an extra charge for excessive food waste.I gave 4-starts because besides tofu and vegetables, no other vegan options. But I would go back .
