Waraku Japanese Restaurant Reviews
Their food is pleasantly shocking
It gently reminds me of the Michelin restaurant I visited in NY or the buffet from a 5-star hotel lol (Huge respect for the chef)
I can’t describe it, but the combination of the ingredients creates a wonderful taste in your mouth.
Taste-wise, I feel like Waraku beats most northern Virginia Sushi restaurants.
I wish they would redo the interior so more people could dine in (and also make some extra money from customer...read full review

My favorite sushi spot, always very fresh and tasty. I have ordered here multiple days in a row and the quality is amazing: thankful to have somewhere close to home with such good quality .
The best sushi I've had since moving to Virginia! The Philadelphia roll is fantastic.

Waraku Japanese Restaurant offers fresh, delicious, and well-portioned food, with a "celebration" of different textures in their sushi rolls. The owner and staff are kind and attentive, making it a popular spot for sushi lovers. The menu features favorites like the salmon Lover sushi and Tonkatsu, both served in large portions and of high quality. Many customers enjoy ordering takeout, especially the 3-roll lunch special, which includes three generous rolls, a pint of miso soup, and a small salad for around $17 per person—an excellent value in the DMV area. The fish is always fresh, with a large ratio of filling to rice, and the quality remains consistent over many visits. Although the in-restaurant experience isn't as upscale as some other places, the affordable prices and good service make it a great choice for takeout. The staff is accommodating, especially for those with food allergies, and vegetarian options are clearly labeled and plentiful. Overall, Waraku continues to be a favorite for its tasty food, friendly service, and reasonable prices.
