Oh my god. I ordered a pizza for delivery and they took my order charged my card and after 2 hours thet finaly answered phone to tell me there closed. Never again will i order there
I want this place to succeed! It's in a fantastic spot, surrounded by townhomes, adjacent to George Mason U, on a main road, should have a ton of traffic on a Friday Night, It should be the go to neighborhood spot. We have been looking for delicious pizza, the mailer we got did the job and brought us there. Sadly, most of the order didn't hold up. The signage hasn't changed to Mason Pizzeria yet. Bruschetta, was not chopped garlic, tomatoes, basil drizzled in olive oil. It was however a square pizza dough with a slice of tomatoes and dried cheese, no garlic, no herbs, no fresh tomato or oil. Ordered an Alfredo pizza, though I am sure they put Alfredo on it somewhere, I couldn't taste it. It was a very dry cheese pizza. Order of Tomato Viscouvio= 6 thin slices of tomatoe with a cheese and pesto baked into the bottom of a pan w/3 pieces of garlic bread..Finally! some garlic to be found sadly none of it was in the pizza or the rest of the order. A meat calzone was ordered and the eater reported it was decent. I implore the owner to use garlic, put sauce on the pizza. We decided to eat in the restaurant with no one in it. When asked if we could have some napkins or paper plates it was met with resistance instead of course. Beautiful mailer and menu on line.
Up until this day I would say things like, "There is no such thing as a bad pizza" and "Pizza can be great, pizza can be good, there is no bad." But, Zaytoon has taught me the error of my ways. Or is it Mason? They have not quite figured out their name, and they have not quite figure out the method for making good pizza. Two stars for good people and good service...Margherita and cheese pizza were dry, overcooked, and somehow yeasty or sour, almost like the crust was a sourdough. I am sure it is food, and it will get eaten. My kids seem to like it alot.
Pizza is delicious. Sides leave much to be desired. Delivery is so slow it is almost non-existent. After the delivery is 45-60 minutes late from ETA and we call we always get, "the driver just left." We either had great timing multiple times or they are not even bothering to deliver until we call. Recommend to always choose pick up.Also, depending on where you look it's either called Zaytoon or Mason Pizza.
Inconsistent. The first few times I ordered from here it was some of the best pizza and v fries I've ever had. Lately, it's been hit and miss. I end up waiting much longer at the restaurant than the time given when I order (usually 2x as long), burnt tops, and last time not even cut into slices. When they're good they're great. It's just figuring out when that is can be tough.
Only if i wish there was 0 star available. I am not someone who posts negative reviews on any restaurant. We wanted to try food from Zaytoon now known as Mason Pizzeria as they were a small business located nearby our office. On Nov 19 we placed an order online from their website for pickup and we got a confirmation that it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. We go there and the restaurant is closed. I called the restaurant and they said the restaurant is closed for temporary repairs. And i said would you mind updating the hours on google as it says open and you are taking orders. The man says me they can’t do anything about the google hours and they would refund our charge for the day. It was totally fine with us. Yesterday we called the restaurant to confirm if they were open so that we can place a pickup order . They were open and I wanted to place an order and also confirm the status of my previous refund. The man says they don’t have anything to do with it as they didn’t charge so we should dispute the charge with the cc company and i said that’s fine although i knew that is not an answer you give a customer. My coworker ordered Chicken Ceaser Salad ,she said let me know there is no chicken in the salad. I call the restaurant to let them know about missing chicken and the man very aggressively tells me its impossible as he made it. i checked it twice and said i can send a picture he started yelling at me saying he doesn’t want to see it and made it sound like I was lying. He wanted me to bring to food to him right away and i said i cant right now but later sure as it was untouched. He denied and said don’t don’t do this to him. I said sir you are being very rude and his response was unbelievable- he told me that if he gave me a free salad that would be polite for me. This was highly insulting and I said goodluck and hung up the phone. If this is the way you speak to your customer then I am sorry folks I don’t see the business running with a good referral. Have some courteous and politeness towards your customers.
Ordered a pizza on Thanksgiving. I get an email confirming my order will arrive in about an hour. The hour passes and no pizza, but I figured they were just really backed up (I'm in food service and Thanksgiving is busy for my place of work so I get it). 2 hours pass and I call. No answer. I call again five minutes later, no answer. I call a third time and someone finally answers. I ask about the status of my pizza, mostly just to double check the order didnt get lost in the digital shuffle. The guy informs me that they're closed, and they'll refund me. Doesnt take down any information or anything. Just hangs up. I check their website an hour later and it still says they're open and taking orders for delivery or pick up. That's wild, man.
I ordered online for Delivery. My Credit Card was charged and I received email that delivery would be at 7:53. At 8:15 no Pizza so I called and someone answered after 4 attempts with just a "Hello" I asked when my Pizza was going to arrive and was told they were closed for the evening but they took my money. NEVER will order here again
Was excited to try somewhere new. Got Tikka (wings) I am now confused what (wings) are. Does the () mean it's a lie... because I got 8 pieces of dry chicken...tenders? 4 cut in half... Nothing close to a wing. The overpriced salad had lots of wilted lettuce and shriveled tomatoes and one was half black and rotting and practically no topping. The pizza, classic Italian, was actually good. The goat cheese and salami combo was enjoyable.
NOT WORTH THIS HIGH PRICES! $8.99 for half a salad with less than a handful of toppings and half of the lettuce and all of the tomatoes were rotten or starting to rot. I've gotten better salads on an airplane. The tikka "wings" were just chicken tenders cut in half, so 8 "wings" are just 4 bland overcooked tenders cut in half. The pizza was ok at best, crust was a little underdone.

On Sep. 17, 2021, I used the Zaytoon app to order a pizza. I went to the Zaytoon's 15 minutes later and the manager said he did not have the pizza ready and did not receive my order. I showed him email confirmation of the order, the Zaytoon app order information, and a pending credit card charge as evidence of the order. The manager had an employee turn their printer on and off and some orders started printing out but not the order I placed. The manager refused to provide what I ordered despite my evidence. I had to go through the hassle of disputing the credit card charge. The manager was not friendly and knows nothing about customer service. I ordered pizza from there in the past and found the pizza just okay. I will never go to them again.
More expensive than I anticipated, but the food was great. Not sure if the price justifies it, but hey, it's good and in a nice spot if you go to GMU, which is down the street.
VERY RUDE!!!! The Menu on the counter said the Ravioli was $9.99. The owner hit the button on the computer and it came up $12. I pointed the price and the guy said that's not our menu. I was very confused because what company uses someone else's menu. I then suggested they black out the prices and write in the new ones. He said how about I just throw them away. Then he picked them up and threw the menus on the floor. I was very bothered by that because a owner should not get aggressive with customers. If you are thinking about ordering from here so not. The disrespect is on a entirely different level! I will never go back and I would never recommend this place to anyone
Meh. Mediocre pizza. Can't recommended.
NO FLAVOR ON IT AND ALOT OIL
