My friend put me on to this place, and I’m so glad she did! I completely understand why it’s her favorite. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and Mohamed was very welcoming and provided excellent service. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to my friends!

I’ve been coming to Balqees for a while now, and it’s become my favorite spot. The food is always great—I highly recommend the shawarma. Mohamed always provides excellent service and is incredibly welcoming. He recommended the Marbella hookah to me, and it’s now my favorite flavor. I bring my friends here all the time because I know we’ll have a great experience. If you’re looking for good food, great hookah, and amazing service, I definitely recommend Balqees!

What kind of restaurant surprises customers with a 20% charge on the bill without properly disclosing it beforehand? When we questioned it, management simply said it was a “service charge.” Whether it’s called a gratuity or a service charge, customers deserve to know about it before they order. There was no clear notice on the menu, no sign in the restaurant, and no one informed us in advance. Adding a mandatory 20% charge at the end of the meal without proper disclosure is misleading and leaves customers feeling blindsided. Transparency is essential, and restaurants should clearly communicate any mandatory charges upfront so customers can make informed decisions. The items we took were average as well. I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

I’m very picky about mandi & after years of being disappointed in the U.S., this chicken mandi finally tasted authentic and delicious. Also, Hawa was friendly, patient, and gave great recommendations. Highly recommend!
