Very satisfied on my first visit to Ellie Bird. We came for Brunch for my wife’s birthday. The staff were all very attentive and many wished her a happy birthday as they welcomed us in, which often gets overlooked at other restaurants, but it made her morning feel so much more special. It may seem like a small notion, but it was a touching detail to our initial visit. The brunch menu is small but packed with flavors and meaningful dishes. We love this and wish we could try it...
Can you say emperor's new clothes? Group of 8 excited to experience this highly regarded spot. Starts with a gratioutous charge of $16 for us each to get a piece bread. Then a small pork dish for over $40 & a Black Cod dish that was aging poorly and fishy. Portions were small even by European standards and elements were underwhelming. Skip the Tiramisu as it is dry. The Greekish & Cucumber salads as well as the Peach Cheesecake were excellent! Service was befitting...
For dinner - the food was great, but the place was very busy and service noticeably lacking. A manager had to come by and take our drink order. 4-5 staff did various things for us (with lots of time between) so we did not feel like we had a waiter.... just people noticing we were floundering... so if it's busy, beware...
