I had the kofta sandwich, and it was one of the best I've ever had. I don't mean one of the best kofta sandwiches - I mean one of the best sandwiches.

I ordered one of the 2 options they have for Ramadan every thing came in a very small portions, plates half empty and almost two table spoon of salad that didn't look fresh and I didn't touch. Option included dates and baklava which was only one very tiny date and two bites of baklava that tasted stale and served in a plastic container cup. Also ordered a mix grilled meat dish and the lamp chops were very tiny almost had no meat to it. Food didn't taste good overall and most of it didn't seem to be fresh. Won't go back neither recommend it.

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday to celebrate our anniversary. The owner greeted us and chatted with us a for a while. Most tables were reserved for an event that afternoon, but when we told her we could be out before then, she seated us and brought out the menus. We ordered using the QR code on the menus, as that was the only option. I will say, that was the only thing I didn't like. I have having to use my phone for everything and wished I could've ordered in person and paid in person. And then the tip part was unclear and it chose the tip for us (18%). That felt kinda weird...what if I wanted to leave more? But that feels like the same complaint, having to order on my phone.Anyway, besides those 2 things, everything else was amazing. The food was fresh, tasty, and was brought out in a reasonable amount of time. The waiter was quick to bring out water and refills. Dina was sweet and chatted with us just the right amount. We ordered the 3 plate appetizer baba ghanoush, grape leaves, and fava beans. They were all good, but the fava beans were extraordinary. We also got the Susu's chicken plate. It was also delicious...and the best part of that plate was the amazing tomato sauce.I can't recommend this place enough and we will surely be back!

Love love love this place! Authentic Egyptian food! My go to favorite’s are the fava bean (foul) sandwich and the falafel sandwich. But you also can’t go wrong with Bashamel Macaroni.

Title: AMAZING Dining Experience at Fava Pot I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fava Pot and it was an experience worth raving about. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by an ambiance that exuded warmth and sophistication. The menu was a delightful journey through culinary excellence, offering a diverse selection to cater to every palate. Each dish was meticulously prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, showcasing the chef's mastery of flavors and textures. The presentation was impeccable, elevating the dining experience to a whole new level. One dish that particularly stood out was the lamb and grape leaves bursting with bold flavors and perfectly cooked to perfection. The attention to detail in every aspect of the meal was evident, from the delicate balance of spices to the exquisite plating. Their Egyptian coffee heated in that hot sand also made me feel like I was in Egypt (I'm not Egyptian. I'm Hispanic). Moreover, the service was exceptional. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt welcomed and cared for. Their passion for hospitality truly enhanced the overall dining experience. In conclusion, Fava Pot surpassed all expectations, delivering a culinary journey that tantalized the taste buds and left a lasting impression. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience. Yours Truly, Jose (Washingtonian Food Reviewer)

I am writing this review 3 weeks later, so I cannot recall all of the delicious flavors of the food ... but, the owner (?) was fantastic, the cuisine was distinct from the more typical (in the US) Lebanese style, and everything was thoroughly enjoyed. I can distinctly remember the pomegranates and lime of the baba ganoush and the fava bean flavor of the falafel. My dish was complex and delicious but more specific details elude me. You'll just have to try it for yourself. My mother, who had not been to Egypt since the 70s, also loved it. It was more upscale than the food she had as a student.

Food was horrible and I got so sick. Molokaya was mostly garlic pieces. Falafel was burnt on outside uncooked on inside. Red Lentil soup was hot water and cumin. Bad & costly, $50 totally not ever going back. Waitress only smiled at me after telling her the soup was horrible.

My wife and I tried Fava pot for the first time last Friday. I read the reviews and decided to give them a try and they did not disappoint. We had the falafel, baba ghanoush, and spicy feta for an appetizers. Blown away! The flavors were like fireworks! For our main course we had Dawud Pasha and the kofta platter. Phenomenal! All the food came out hot and you could tell it was freshly prepared! Our waiter was so nice and patient with us as it took us forever to figure out what we wanted! We will definitely come back!

Everything was amazing! Food was full of flavor and there's a lot of variety! As an Arab, I appreciated the authenticity of the decor, music and overall ambiance. It smelled amazing just walking in! Will try again for sure!

I was in Egypt in the early 90s several times, some of the best food I've ever had was there.Fava Pot is owned by a Coptic Family - read up on the history of the Copts - it's both tragic and inspiring. The food here is excellent. My wife loves this food as do I.I don't think there's anything I've gotten that I didn't like.We took our 'foodie' friend here, they really enjoyed it.

If you are craving flavors and cultural vibes of Cairo, Fava Pot is for you. We had a late lunch starting with finely rolled grape leaves stuffed with spiced meat and rice that came with a minty cucumber yogurt sauce; four balls of crispy Tamiya aka falafel, full of fresh green herbs and served with beet pickle, red onion and a real round of puffy hot aysh baladi bread. The main was Moulekhiya greens - chicken broth soup fragrant with pounded coriander seed, butter and garlic, self-served over Egyptian rice with vermicelli pasta bits, and a roasted half baby chicken. Took home extra loaves of aysh baladi. Don't skip the frozen lemon-mint lemonade. The Egyptian vibe of this casual but well-appointed restaurant is enhanced with paintings and murals of famous people and places in Egypt. There are antique phonographs, telephones and radios, Bedouin silver bracelets and woven cushions and, best of all, the wonderful music of Egypt's beloved singers and ensembles. Our charming Egyptian server had arrived in the US less than a year ago, had perfect English and all the warmth of her home country. We happened to arrive at the Falls Church place while the founder-owner Ms. Dina Daniel was there. She runs three restaurant locations in the DMV, as well as food trucks and catering services. What a winner! We will be back and will be ordering for home entertaining in future.Parking: Shopping center, huge parking in Falls Church location
