Great service, food tasted great. Over cooked steak. As a neighborhood, local, disappointing to get a medium cooked steak, when medium rare was requested. At these prices, I feel like this should not be a problem.

The food was really great. Got the feel that this is a place for regulars vs. a very trendy

Service is fine and the owner seems really nice. However, the food tastes like it's reheated from being frozen rather than fresh from scratch. Also, the food tasted almost freezer burned. Really wanted to like this place but it just missed the mark. We got the mushroom and spinach ravioli, calamari, and chicken parm with pesto pasta. The calamari wasn't hot or crispy enough for my liking.

A very low-key but high-quality restaurant. The portions were perfect, the food was wonderful for the price, and our server was lovely.

A relatively old neighborhood place. The food is very good and the waitstaff is excellent. I would rather not have the musician there on Saturday evening. He plays well but it is hard to talk over the music when the place is full.

Idlywood is a favorite spot for dinner. The service is excellent, with a good selection of wines and an atmosphere that permits conversation at normal speaking levels. We tried a couple of new dishes as well as a favorite appetizer (shrimp ajo) and salmon Caesar. We haven't been disappointed in any of the salmon selections. The branzino is also a favorite. The chicken parmesan, a new item , was especially good. Highly recommended.

We chose Idylwood Grill because we were looking for someplace we had not yet tried. We liked the previous reviews, so we decided to try it. We were not disappointed! The service was great, and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back!

Service, food quality, and overall sound level were all excellent on our first time visit. Its definitely a very good choice. Keyboardist was very good; a senior man with very talented and experienced fast fingers. I'm not sure he missed a single key. Certainly he earned the 5 dollars we put in his voluntary tip jar. This is a great first date choice fornthe over 30 crowd and the food is hot and as food or better than anywhere we've been. Reservations thru open table recommended tho they were not packed tight at 7pm on a Saturday evening. Thank you for a very nice meal

My husband and I both got dishes from the specials menu. His Leg of Lamb Stroganoff was very good and my Branzino was absolutely delicious! So close to where we live but somehow we forget that it's there. It's now on our go to list of restaurants.

Visiting from NC, my friends recommended this quiet, unassuming French restaurant. The wine selection is on point, and all the food was served hot and with bountiful portions. I will definitely put it on our ❤️ places to visit again.

We REALLY wanted to like this place and, maybe on another day we would have. This place still had availability for Valentine's Day when none of our usual "celebration restaurants" did. That might have been a red flag except for the outstanding Yelp reviews, and we figured it was worth a try. When we arrived, the place was packed. However, our table was ready, and we were seated quickly. The room was a bit cramped, with tables almost on top of each other. Perhaps it was a rearrangement to accommodate the large volume of couples on this particular night. The decor was a bit dated. Mostly, for a wine bar they didn't offer a lot of wine choices. The special menu had many options, and that might have been the problem. I ordered the mussels as an appetizer, surf & turf for my main, and German chocolate cake for dessert. In all three cases, the portion sizes were huge. The mussels were small and tasty. However, the sauce was too salty and also was a bit overcooked. For my main, the crab cake was OK, but the fillet was overcooked and dried. And the accompanying baked potato was tasteless. I think to accommodate the anticipated crowd, they prepared a bunch of everything and had it simmering, waiting to be served. Since we ate towards the end of the evening, some of our food was, perhaps, over-simmered. FWIW, the cake was very good and the service was excellent.

We found this local gem through Trip Advisor and it lives up to it's 5 star rating. The food was good, the menu varied and the service great. We were able to customize a menu item without any problems. Monday is half price wine day, which is a real benefit!!

Seated at our reservation time at what appeared to be a white tablecloth but I think was really just white oilcloth. Bread service arrived warm but the rolls soon became rock hard (stale). Food was prepared well - lamb shank, chicken, and mushroom ravioli. Rack of lamb was good but pricey for what you got. Wine list is limited.

Absolutely delicious! All six of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. Highly recommend for families or date night! The desserts were amazing, too...definitely recommend the tiramisu and the chocolate mousse cake!! We will definitely be back.
