Idylwood is one of the best family owned restaurants in Northern Virginia. Everything is excellent here. My favorites are the chicken schnitzel and the filet, but you truly cannot miss here. Wine selection is simple with a sophisticated menu match. Dean is a world class host. You should go here and enjoy the treat.
Dependable spot for delicious dinner, well-chosen wine, and super-attentive service - in the category of everyday casual. Decorations are funky and cheerful. I am so glad we live 4 minutes away. The tiramisu is out of this world.
Let's start with the price to put everything else in context: reasonable given the area. The food was excellent. I don't mean really good. I mean top two among the twenty or so restaurants I've visited over the past couple of years. And the top one was Chez Francois - at circa three times the price.
