LESLY RESTAURANT BAR & GRILL

Since new management this place has revamped and has a great vibe and the food is delicious!!! The bar is fully stocked and Kay is amazing!!! My favorite bar tender by far!!! I come here now at least 2-3 times a week! Plus they have events on some weeknights and weekends!

I saw this place on my way home and decided to go back to check it out. I live close and I’m always on the hunt for a good Caribbean restaurant. Lesly’s did not disappoint! I had the jerk wings and the jollof rice. Both were 9/10. The wings were well seasoned and had a nice jerk taste to them. They were also well cooked and just overall delish! I also loved the bell peppers and onions that came with the wings. The rice was so good and I had to force myself to stop eating it. The bar itself is more suited for a neighborhood bar but very intimate. Ricky the owner was very warm and friendly. I can’t wait to go back and try other menu items.

Great go to place for Caribbean food, drinks and chill atmosphere! New owner that took over the previous spot. Tried the goat, oxtail (excellent) and stew chicken. Will continue work my way down the menu! Across from Aldi's in Falls Church.

Amazing food! Highly recommend!

This restaurant has really stepped up its game since the management change in early 2025. (I ate here a couple times before and stopped). At the time of this review they have 7-day a week happy hour with a nice selection of $5 apps and deeply discounted alcohol. The bar and restaurant has been cleaned up, and there is now a very nice fenced patio area.
We were there on a Sunday afternoon, had bartender/server Chingun, who explained the menu and happy hour. He did a phenomenal job of serving drinks and food.
If you have not been here lately, check it out. I think if they stay on the current course they'll do very well.

Delicious Caribbean food! The Oxtail was pretty Delicious.

Went at off hours and sat outside for an early dinner. Had the 1/2 jerk chicken, jerk wings, and Jamaican beef patty. All excellent.

I’ve never been to this establishment when it was under the old management so this review is a true first time experience review.

Service: My family walked in for dinner around 530/600pm on a Saturday. There were 3 people at the bar, a couple dining inside and 2 couples sitting outside. From what it appeared, there was 1 server taking care of everyone. The server greeted us and told us to sit where we liked. While waiting for our server to take our drink order, another couple walks in to order food to go. It took some time for our server to take our drink order so by the time he came over, we put in both our food and drinks orders. After about 5 mins he comes back and tells us they are out of oxtail. After placing a different order we wait, and wait. He eventually comes with our drink orders, but forgot mine. He was running everywhere, like literally running, making drinks, taking orders, bringing out plates of food, etc. I’m not too surprised at how long the food took to come out, only because we did order fried red snapper and I realize that it takes the most time to cook since it is fried fresh when ordered.

Food: we ordered brown stew chicken with rice and baked Mac n cheese, fried red snapper with rice and peas and baked Mac n cheese and the kid had a bacon cheeseburger with fries. The stew chicken and fried snapper were great. Both flavorful and a decent portion. The snapper was fried crispy and came topped with onions and the brown stew chicken was tender and well seasoned. The Mac n cheese was not good in my opinion. It was made with penne pasta instead of elbow macaroni and the cheese tasted like the canned nacho cheese sauce with jalapeños that you buy at the store to pour over your nachos. I was disappointed about that. The rice and peas were good, but the stew chicken was cold. Not semi warm, but truly cold. You can tell the food was plated and sitting while they probably waited for the fish to fry. This was also disappointing. Overall the food score was a 8/10 for taste but a 7/10 for it being cold and the Mac n cheese being so bad.

Overall: At some point during our meal, we ordered food to go and what we wanted to order, we were told they were also out of. So we ended up taking jerk wings to go. The owner did come over to our table and check to see how everything was. He seemed kind and friendly and thanked us for coming in. I would possibly try this restaurant again in the future, maybe after new management has been running things for a while to see if there are any improvements. Right now overall they are a solid 7/10 and I would highly recommend to go early since they seem to get busy and run out of food.

The food taste great. I'm about to complain but I'll be back. $20 for fajitas? Where I come from (Detroit, Mexican town) we pay that. But we get enough to eat for lunch the next day too! So that's my only gripe. Portions of MEAT to small. Food great. Lady working there is great. She don't speak English but she still makes it happen for me. Drinks good. I'll be back.

Recommended dishes: Street Tacos

Food was great. Drinks were heavy on the liquor (how I like it). Walked from the hotel across the street for a quick bite. Music was loud but other than that we enjoyed ourselves there. Food was great so missed the before picture of it.
