Tonight, I tried Ethiopian food for the first time in my life. Immediately upon entering this establishment, we were welcomed with open arms by its sweet owner, who had the most genuine personality and contagious smile. He helped us pick something off the menu that he thought we would enjoy as beginners to the cuisine, and we absolutely loved it. I brought my newborn baby with me inside, and he did everything he could to make us feel comfortable, even offering to turn off the fans in the restaurant to ensure her comfort and contentment. There are some people you meet in life who just stick out for their incredible personalities and kindness, and the owner was one of those people. Even if the food was terrible, I would have still been glad that I went because I met him! But the food was delicious. As you can see by the picture, there was so much variety to what we had, and we liked every single part of it. Feeling satiated and satisfied! We will definitely be back!

Normally, this would be a 5 star review— the food is some of the best, most authentic Ethiopian food I’ve ever tried and the staff are pleasant and attentive.
However, I will not be coming back to this restaurant after a horrifying experience. At the end of our delicious meal, we noticed that the table across from us pointed out a massive cockroach crawling up the wall. The owner came over and laughed, saying he couldn’t do anything because it was so high up. The roach crawled onto the ceiling and positioned itself over our table.
The cockroach then proceeded to FALL FROM THE CEILING AND LAND IN OUR FOOD. Luckily, we were finished with our meal, but had been planning to take the food home. The cockroach crawled over the entire table and onto the floor, at which point MY OWN FATHER HAD TO STEP ON AND KILL THIS MASSIVE COCKROACH.
The staff then came over and cleaned it up and were very apologetic. The owner made excuses, but comped some of our meal and offered to make us more leftovers, as well as leaving us a free dessert. We understandably declined the leftovers and did not eat the dessert.
The staff handled it as well as they could, and assured us it wasn’t a typical experience. If you can overlook all that, the food is phenomenal— but we won’t be coming back. Restaurant ruining experience.

Nazret Ethiopian Restaurant is a fantastic spot for authentic Ethiopian food. We ordered the VIP platter, which offered a delicious combination of flavorful meats and well-seasoned vegetables—perfect for sharing and trying a little bit of everything. The food was fresh, satisfying, and full of flavor.
The service was warm and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. It’s also a great place to catch FIFA World Cup matches, making it an excellent choice for both a meal and the game. Highly recommended!

very good food and amazing service. The restaurant staff were very nice. The owner came out and struck our conversation. Overall very pleasant restaurant. Will come back again.
