If I have an occasion, I stop by the bakery just to grab something! And I've come with friends and alone more than once just for breakfast or lunch.

Parking was easy this morning (though I could see it being a little more challenging on weekdays). The hardest part wasn’t ordering—it was deciding what to get because there were so many amazing gluten-free options! 🤩
We enjoyed a variety of delicious crêpes, quiches, and pancakes, then couldn’t resist taking home a box full of sweet treats. 🥞🥐🍰
The Happy Tart is an outstanding café and bakery that truly makes people with celiac disease feel included. My only wish is that we had a place like this closer to home for my daughter. ❤️🌾✨

Went here with my family and we loved it! The folks at the counter were so patient and kind while we ordered. They had a whole kids area with games, books, and coloring stuff. The food and coffee was delicious (we got a quiche and a breakfast sandwhich). I ate my whole meal and then my wife told me the whole place was gluten free. I had to check with the owner that it was actually gluten free because I wouldn't have known if I wasnt told. Very cool place. We will be back!

Love this place! One of the only GF bakeries I know of in the DMV! As someone with Celiac, who does know what glutenous pastries taste like, I truly would never know the difference. I also tried their caramel iced latte which also was a 10/10.

While exploring Falls Church, I popped by this spacious gluten-free bakery per a recommendation of a friend. Since I'm not gluten free, I can't speak to the quality, but I will say I enjoyed the chocolate crackle cookie. It was very moist and tasty. They have a wide selection of pastries, coffee, and more with plenty of space to sit.

I’ve been to The Happy Tart many times for many years. I thought the food was delicious and that you couldn’t tell it was gluten free. Today we came with my family, and we noticed a substantial decline in the quality of the food. We ordered avocado toast with an egg, a crepe with smoked salmon, and pancakes with eggs for the kids. Nothing was good. Then we ordered the cheesecake heart and it was pretty good, like it’s always been. We also had to wait a long time. That’s always been the case, but having tasty gluten free food made it worth it. The table was dirty when we arrived and had to ask to have it cleaned. They were not cleaning the tables after people were done eating. Hope that the quality of the food and the service improves. We had great experiences here before.

The Happy Tart is ok. I have gone for years and esp liked the snicker doodles, red velvet cupcakes and tiramisu. Tiramisu is still delicious. The others are less flavorful. It is under new ownership and that may be why. Perhaps they changed up the recipes. I know I don’t go as often as I did and that makes me said. It was a gem.

I just had the strawberry cupcake, and I think I've found my new favorite 😋🧁🍓 it's super moist, has the perfect amount of icing, and both the cake and buttercream are flavored. I don't usually write reviews, but I just had to go out of my way for this cupcake. Everything at Happy Tart is delicious, but this one especially blew me away.
Honorable mention to the savory baked treats. I had the ham and cheddar muffin, and not only was it delicious, but I realized I haven't had a savory baked treat since becoming gluten free. Literally no one else is doing this. I'll be coming back to try the jalapeno cheddar scone 💚

My friend brought me a lemon merengue pie from here. Im not gluten free, and still the BEST pie I've ever had. Im not a huge sweets person but could eat this pie every single night. VERY good and highly reccomend it. I would have rated the atmosphere and service, but like I said, my friend brought it to me.

We stopped by the happy tart on a vacation. We were heading back from DC. I loved that they opened at 7am so we could get on the road early. Everyone has a wonderful breakfast from Nutella crepes to omelets. The coffee hit the spot for the drive home. Plus my girls picked out treats from the display case…. To eat later. Amazing to have safe gluten free place for my girls to eat safely and there were both decadent and healthy options. We wish this was closer to home, definitely worth the stop.

In DC area for the weekend and wanted to give this place a try. Food was great. The cashier was very friendly which is an added plus for a Sunday morning. I love Eggs Benedict, so I try and order them whenever I have the chance. These were delicious. I added the bacon to it. The hollandaise had great flavor. Loved the crispy potatoes. This plate did not disappoint. I hope to visit again!
