I had to pick up items for a work breakfast the following morning to accommodate some attendees gluten sensitivites. As I walked in, tge glass case proudly displayed the beautiful offerings and I only wish I could have tasted everything. While there, I purchased a savory mushroom turnover, latte, and a chocolate heart cheesecake. The turnover was delicious. The pastry was flaky, savory, and mouthwatering. I'm not the biggest coffee drinker, and the kind lady that waited on me suggested the latte. Her assistant made a beautiful heart pattern with the frothed cream and it was delicious. I had the cheesecake dessert in the afternoon. It was not overly sweet like many. It was a good balance. I highly recommend the pastries and latte and will go back to try other itens. Definitely give this bakery a try.

This is a neighborhood gem. It’s not a 3 or 4 star spot, so I don’t know why any reviews before me reflect that. It’s obvious to me that any reviewer with less than 4 stars is clueless. This place is top tier. The chicken pot pie is to DIE FOR. My heart was a bit broken when I was not able to get a carrot cake cupcake during my visit, but I know I will be successful next time.

I stood at the cash register in amazement when they told me every single item in the pastry shop and on the menu is gluten free! Very difficult to find - this bakery only has opaque logos on the doors, visible once you are already there. The food is delicious, but they do not care to help customers find them - honestly they do not care. Finally, a real bakery for gluten free goodies! Del Ray’s loss is Falls Church’s gain. Guess what? Their cup cakes taste like real cake and not cardboard like so many other gluten free foods. Triple YUM ?
We waited 50 min for our order. When we finally inquired about our order, we were told there were 3 orders ahead of us. It finally came cold and tasted like cardboard. Workers were nice but this place has gone downhill, and is nowhere close to tasty or healthy. Avoid this place!

We ordered our wedding cake through The Happy Tart bakery, and it was absolutely stunning! It looked gorgeous, well beyond our hopes and dreams. And it was delicious, too! Our guests couldn't tell that it was gluten-free; many of them said it was the best wedding cake they'd ever had. There wasn't a single piece left at the end of the night!
