The State Theatre is a popular venue for live performances, known for its excellent staff, seating, lighting, and sound. It is highly recommended for those looking for a great entertainment experience. The venue features a good list of tribute bands and occasional national acts, making it a great local spot for a few beers and laughs. The food options include chips and salsa, which received a rating of 2 out of 5, but surprisingly, the food has been described as decent by some guests. Drinks are available at two or three bars, with prices that are a bit high but not outrageous, earning a rating of 4 out of 5. The seating is suitable for 75% or more of the guests, with tables that can be reserved in advance and standing room available.
While the sound quality has been inconsistent, with some shows rated as great and others as lacking, there have been recent improvements noted by guests. The venue offers a good view, with a rating of 4 out of 5. The location is convenient, with free parking available in the Kaiser parking garage across the street. For a more comfortable experience, it is advised to go early for a good seat. The venue's setup is similar to 9:30 and Anthem, featuring an open floor, seats in the rear and sides, as well as balcony seats. It is worth a visit for those who have not been or have not been in a while.
