Lovely little spot with friendly staff who won't let your water ever be empty! Food came out hot and coursed well. Cocktails took a little while to make, but everything else was great. Highly recommend the Brussels and Buccatini!
What a treat! Our intended restaurant was closed, but Thompson Italian took us in and spoiled us with good food, great wine, and two delicious desserts, even! Highly recommend!
Italian food, its ok. I tasted better. They are super expensive too.

Been here multiple times and happy to say that the food is still just as delicious as when we first came here over a year ago! I often avoid ordering spaghetti when I go to restaurants but this is the only place that my husband and I will race to see who gets to order the spaghetti (and not share). Last night we had the rigatoni as well and needless to say, no plate was left empty. The portions are perfect and service was equally as wonderful.

Food is very good. People, meh could use some work. Staff seemed indifferent or bored, comically ambivalent and lacking self awareness. Eye rolling, looking at watch to speed you along, demonstrating clear impatience and seeming exhausted by basic patron interactions. The place and the people working their just seemed unhappy. Womp womp.Kid-friendliness: Thompson says, bring the family…but it should also say “you will annoy us greatly if you do and we will go out of our way so you feel unwelcome.”

The squid ink dish was filling and tasty. The garlic bread appetizer was fine, nothing special. The lasagna from the restaurant week menu was AMAZING! The desserts were also very filling and delectable. The service was top notch and we were seated promptly with our reservation.

Came here for company holiday dinner event. I had the chef special - mushroom lasagna. Let me tell you, this was hands down one of the most delicious lasagna I've ever had. I finished off with their coconut tapioca pudding.
Couldn’t speak highly enough about this local falls church Favorite. This place has a good service history and a good atmosphere and vibe. New creative take on old dishes and I’m satisfied. Bravo!!!
3.5 stars.. I've been here only twice within 3 years. It's a nice upscale Italian place with lots of seating. Excellent service and friendly staff. Parking is quite hard since you have to find it about a block or two behind the place and walk over. Everything I've had here has always been good, but not nothing memorable unfortunately. I have other favorite places I'd rather go to instead.You do get complimentary bread to start. I've had the Octopus a la Plancha, Arancini, Spicy Pork Meatballs (very very tiny), Burrata, Chicory Salad, Little Gem, Squid Ink Bucatini, Rigatoni, and Mafaldine. Portions are not too big, and prices are high for dishes that aren't the most extraordinary. My favorite was definitely the octopus since it was so tender!
