This place is an institution of bluegrass music and Appalachian culture. The Friday night jamboree is always a great time. All of their country style food is good and you can count on the daily specials to be great. The bakery items are always fresh and tasty. I especially like the fruit pies and cobblers a la mode and the snickerdoodle cookies. My kids love to get a few pieces of candy from the barrels of old timey treats with their money from the change dance.
I came to Floyd just for Floyd county store, is the heart of the Town and well deserved, the atmosphere for the music lover is something that look like movies, children. Parents, grandfather and grandmother everybody connect by the music and the folk, the Roots and American tradition. I'm Latin, I came with my mom, we are from Venezuela and everybody, the people of the place make felt like family.

Just got in floyd last weekend to hear one special lady Dale Ann Bradley , this was my first time hearing her she is one amazing woman, what a voice, beautiful music and her grope was awesome too . God bless you for sharing the wonderful stories behind the music.
