Holy cow, I just took a Sunday drive about 45 minutes from Roanoke to visit Floyd on a sunday, and stumbled across this place. It looks wacky from the outside so I figured it would be a cool place to check out and oh my God this food is amazing. I got the adult grilled cheese and it has a huge amount of guacamole in a great big piece of ripe juicy tomato with a crap ton of cheddar cheese. I think the bread must be made fresh either there or locally. About to start on the slaw....
I was very hungry and almost ordered too much food. The server provided info that the chef likes to feed people and portions are generous. There are many vegetarian options and the drinks or smoothies were great. There was live music but I didn't think the music was good. The bathroom is a porta john. There were a lot of pet dogs brought into the restaurant and barking. Several cats seem to live there and I definitely saw the server touch an animal prior to handling...
Cool atmosphere. We’re vegan and it was the only place in the area, there’s basically 2, with food that offered veg/veg options. The food was good but it’s literally pinto beans, rice and mashed sweet potatoes for $14-$16 which is kinda crazy. They never brought our waters and they weren’t super busy.
