We went today for Valentine's day and the food was mediocre at best. My salmon had no flavor and 11 dollars for a Moscow Mule that was horrible...yea we won't be back.
POOR SERVICE. Rude service and the “manager” thinks she can grab things out of your hands. She’s lucky I was being so nice and didn’t catch me on a bad day. I don’t suggest coming here if you want to have a good time without being harassed.
In town for the 2024 World Disc Golf Championship, and this place was recommended. Very cool looking place, with a little bar and sitting area inside and 2 larger outdoor areas out back. Service was really good. Food was good, real solid, nothing exceptional, but the berry cobbler, that was amaz-balls! Would definitely go back for that! Looks like they might have local music from time to time. Good place.

Wagyu Burger was great has a nice taste had some fries and a couple beers not a ton of people were there so it was nice and relaxing everyone was very nice so that was refreshing and it did not have a high price it was pretty good specially for what you get I heard they have the wagy in a steak cut I'm probably going to check that out I know it is more expensive but it's probably tastes even better than the burger did and that was very good

Always a good go to. Not anymore. Food was terrible. Not busy and took over an hour to get our food. Not going back until I hear good things We have been going her for over 20 years. Please do better.
Great steaks and cold beers. Super cozy spot with awesome service and great food

We have been going to Benjamin’s for years. Sad to say tonight will be that last time I ever spend a dime at this restaurant. The food was terrible and the bill was $185 with tip for two people. The fries were not cooked and the steak was bad/cold even for the standards of chain steak house. Not to mention they charge 3.9% extra for non cash payment. That is a clue the doors may be shutting soon (in my opinion). I don’t know what happened…… management maybe? Either way I’m not spending that kind of money for such low quality again. Damn shame. Used to be a great place.
I'll definitely be coming back to this restaurant! Everything was very good, but I won't say it was outstanding. The Brussel sprouts were amazing, but the rest of the meals we tried were just okay. Great service and good atmosphere overall! If you like a quieter environment, do not go on nights they have live music.

Birthday dinner at Benjamin’s was an overall success. Redneck nachos were a great starter for three people. The pulled pork was very flavorful.
The entrees were a mix. The chicken was good and the Virginia wagyu burger was elite...to the point that's probably what I’ll get the next time we eat here. On the other hand the shrimp and lobster dish was a bit bland. The shrimp wasn’t seasoned well and didn’t mesh well with the rest of the dish. We’ll stick with something other than seafood next time

Good place to go out, but definitely do not recommend for carry out. We do like dining at Benjamin’s, but after a few attempts at carry out I would not recommend. No matter how far in advance you order or how slow the restaurant is, you can pretty well plan to stand around for 15-20 min while they get your order together. Good food just not organized or equipped for take out.

Great place. Food great. Service extremely friendly and professional. Covered outdoor area is a nice area to listen to really great music. We listened to Troy Coleman. Really enjoyable and he even called up some audience performers which was really good. Great place to go

We have always enjoyed Benjamin’s and maybe it was just a bad day, but we went to brunch this past weekend and the service and the food was very underwhelming. We sat for over an hour before we were able get our order in and start to have our food delivered. When the food was delivered it came one plate at a time with 5-10 minutes between each plate and there were only 4 of us. The steak had more fat than meat, the spinach was slimy, and most of the food tasted bland. This will be our last visit to Benjamin’s.

We went here for brunch on Sunday, parking was easy and once in were shown to our table outside. Menu choices are brunch style and I had their Hangover Hash brown plate. It was very tasty and plentiful. Service was very good and attentive. Check out their dinner menu for more choices. Will definitely go back.

Me and my family came to Benjamin’s for Father’s Day brunch and we had the worst restaurant experience we’ve ever had in Lynchburg. Our server Sara did not greet us for 10 minutes or more before taking our drink order. When she came back she took our appetizer order and we also said we were ready to put our entree order in. She said she would not take it because she had to go talk to other customer first. When she came back 10 minutes later, she finally took our order. While waiting for our food, which took AN HOUR to wait for only three people’s food, she never asked if we were ok or needed more drinks. We were not the last ones to enter the restaurant, but we were the last table in the restaurant to get their food behind several parties, including one of eight people.
When we finally got our food over an hour after sitting down, the hash brown bowl had grey colored eggs. We were told that the eggs were that color because of oxidation, though I’ve never seen grey eggs after being scrambled. They had the food remade within 3 minutes, even though it took 45 minutes to get our food after she took our order. For the price and time it took to get our food, it was completely not worth the time, money, or hassle. After telling our server we were ready for the check, she said ok and did not return with it. One of the members in our party was going to speak with the manager about our service, but she cut them off and told them that she would then print it off. I’ve NEVER had a problem at Benjamin’s before, they’ve always had great service and food until today. I would like to emphasize the food was ok, but the service was unacceptable.
