Extremely loud establishment, the food was very dry and flavorless bit hot along with over cooked and the service was very, very slow. By the time my daughter got her food, we were all done eating and the food tasted flavorless and like it all came out of a box
The staff was friendly and cheerful and the atmosphere was good but the music was extremely loud to the point we were yelling across the table at one another and my sister left with a headache. The food however was a total disappointment. We were traveling through and just wanted to grab a bite before turning in for the night and the Bearded Monkey was recommended by our hotel. A pinball machine dive bar that has some of the best chili I've had. It was meaty and did not taste like ketchup. Great with a side of hush puppies! Good selection of cocktails and mixers.
