We had a delicious lunch. The fish and chips were served piping hot. The fish was very crisp and crunchy. The french fries were hand cut and not greasy at all. The wait staff were super pleasant and attentive.

This is definitely a place that is designed to cater to the college crowd, and to young professions straight off of a train commute. The food is delicious. The service is on-point. The walls are signed by all of the bands that they have had in to play. Oddly, there isn't much exterior signage facing the road, so you're better approaching from the railroad track side, to reach it without circling the block.

The cuisine is partly Americana, partly Irish specialties, partly British standards. The bangers and mash is well worth getting, because they use proper bratwurst sausages, and the potatoes are real mashed potatoes. Very flavorful. The shepherd's pie reportedly had every desirable layer, and was quite filling. (A second visit will be required to see if they have a trifecta with the perfection of fish'n'chips.)

The non-alcoholic drinks consist of Pepsi products and various fruit juices, and the available selection of alcoholic drinks was very large. Some of them looked tasty, and they offered a variety of hot ones as well as cold ones.

For augmented reality gamers, there's a good four places of interest within easy reach without leaving the dining room. You might lose whatever street cred you have by pulling out your phone and playing, here, though.

The atmosphere is the best part. The bar is cozy and the staff are very friendly. Food takes quite a while to arrive. The crab cake sandwich could have been more flavorful. Would come back to see a band perform and have some drinks.

Smaller casual place with super friendly staff, great pours, amazing food (try the corned beef stack, thank me later), and regular live local music.

Can't say enough good things about this place!

Colonial Tavern staff went above and beyond in serving our large (160) group of national conference guests from across the country. The food was great, everyone raved and especially loved sweet potato fries. Staff went out of their way to make sure everyone was served and even chased a bus down to deliver a lunch! Would highly recommend

Shepherds pie is very traditional pâté type consistency with little flavor. Did not like

Nice Irish Pub/Bar. Service is outstanding, the food is On Point, and, the atmosphere is nice, clean, and inviting. Several beers to choose from and plenty of spirits to suit your tastes.

Rye bread - tasted freshly baked and fabulous
Irish soda bread - fresh and good. It says raspberry butter. It's margarine, but tasty.

Good experience here. I got some fish and chips which were solid! Wife had chicken pot pie and loved it. Our server took care of us well. The place is a tavern and prob a great place to hang out and listen to live music when they have it.
