Dropped by for a quick drink in the afternoon. Beautiful outdoor space and seating. Beer is great! Giant soft pretzels are very good. Staff was wonderful 👍

I really enjoyed the service and atmosphere. The bratwurst sampler was great! I ordered it twice! The jagersnitzel was good but had more of a red wine flavor than the mushroom flavor that I like. It had very small amount of mushrooms. The rouladen wasn't as I expected it would be, but it was just ok. I wouldn't order it again. Most of the sides were very good. Don't expect to order brotchen, half hanchen, or Roasted hamhock ( I can't remember it's name). Even though it was decent, I won't drive an hour to go there again.
Today we picked up our order for five people from them- a sampler platter, (3 kinds of sausage) breaded shnitzel, sauerkraut, horseradish mashed potatoes, red cabbage and grilled zucchini. Everything was delicious, full of flavor and well prepared! Will be my number 1 place to go now. All the food was ready fast.

I burped, well BELCHED because this food was so GOOD. I'm not the biggest beer drinker, but the barman expertly recommended the perfect beer for me... no idea what it was, but thoroughly enjoyed it. Grilled Zucchini, perfect char while maintaining brightness. I had to smack my husband's hand away when he tried to get more. I totally stabbed his hand when he went for the potato pancake , that was PERFECTION!
And let's discuss the pork roll. I'm not going to try to spell out the German.
Hubby's food, well he picked his plate clean too.
We had a plum dumpling with hazelnut ice cream and apple streudle with vanilla ice cream. Home made in house, which is rare these days, so big points from me!

Spotted this place while driving through Fredericksburg and had to try it. Worth the detour! Cozy place with a little bar and quick service. Ordered the Jager Schnitzel and a grapefruit beer—everything was perfect. Definitely going to be a repeat customer.

Was really looking forward to eating some great German food. Spent years in Germany growing up. This food was meh. Food was not seasoned, not even salt. Had perogis, wurst, schnitzel, shpatzel and pretzel. Everything needed salt. The service was great but the table was wonky and kept tipping and was very sticky. The wurst part ? was the price. Extremely overpriced. Sad to say, I won't be going back.
